Racing, football, and cricket from the IPL all feature in our betting blog round up of the big winning bets from the last few days.

LUCKNOW SUPER GIANTS v MUMBAI INDIANS – SIXES SQUARED (SETTLED AT 49)

Cricket spread betting punters have been filling their boots this season in the IPL with records tumbling as the bowlers get spanked to all corners of the ground.

However, yesterday saw sellers get their own back as an unusually low scoring match between Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians saw LSG land a four-wicket victory as they successfully chased down a total of 144 with four balls to spare.

Will Jacks hit ten sixes in a match at the weekend but Lucknow and Mumbai could only manage seven between them at the Ekana Cricket Stadium, with those selling Sixes Squared at 387-442 catching a big winning bet of 338x their stake.

BARCELONA v VALENCIA – ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI SUPER-MEGA MINUTES (SETTLED AT 483)

Barcelona cruised past Valencia on Monday night thanks to a second half hat-trick from Polish striker Robert Lewandowski. Los Cules may well be on the verge of relinquishing their hold on the La Liga trophy, but Lewandowski’s treble gave him a chance to mount a late surge in his defence of the Pichichi Trophy (Artem Dovbyk of Girona leads the standings on 19 goals).

Football spread betting punters were also revelling if they sided with the former Bayern man to impress, with those buying Lewandowski Super-Mega Minutes doing particularly well. In this market Lewandowski’s first goal minute counted as normal (49th minute), his second goal minute was doubled (82nd) and the hat-trick goal trebled (90+3 – though this counts as 90 for the spread) leading to the market settling at 483.

Pre-match punters placing a buy bet at 69-79 were left pocketing a win of 404x their stake thanks to the Polish poacher.

PUNCHESTOWN 16:15 – DADDY LONG LEGS/TOTO TOO MATCH BET (SETTLED AT 15)

For horse racing spread betting punters it is a brilliant week with the Punchestown Festival running into Guineas weekend, but yesterday saw a couple of hot favourites overturned.

One favourite that did oblige though was the Willie Mullins-trained Daddy Long Legs which was sent off at an SP of 16/5 in the Listed Handicap Hurdle, beating Brentford Hope by five lengths.

Daddy Long Legs’ closest rival in the betting was Toto Too and for buyers on the Match Bet between the two, there was profit to be made. The spread was priced up in 1.25-2.75 in Daddy Long Legs’ favour and with Toto Too trailing 29 lengths behind, the spread settled at 15 (the maximum makeup in these markets is 15 or -15 lengths) as buyers won 12.25x their stake.

Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
