How to connect your Spreadex account to TradingView

Once you have both a Spreadex account and a TradingView account, the next step is to connect them.

Simply navigate to the Spreadex page on TradingView and select the ‘Trade’ icon.

Enter your Spreadex login details on the resulting screen.

Once the accounts are linked, your Account Summary page will appear. Here you can monitor your open positions and view information like your Balance, Equity and P&L.

How to deposit funds to use on TradingView

Once you have connected your account, all your transactions – including deposits and withdrawals – will still be operated by Spreadex. Simply follow our How to deposit funds page for a step-by-step guide.

 

How to find Spreadex markets on TradingView

From the home page, select the search tool and a pop up will appear where you can find your desired market.

Select your desired instrument type, for example indices, then select ‘All sources’.

You can either search ‘Spreadex’ in the search bar or scroll down to the bottom of the source page where you will find Spreadex. Once you’ve chosen Spreadex, select your desired market, like the FTSE 100, by clicking launch chart.

Once you are on the chart screener, you can select other markets through the search tool at the top of the page. Here you can select Spreadex to filter to all the markets offered by Spreadex on TradingView.

You can also create your own Watchlists of your favourite markets to speed up this process for future visits. To do this select the watchlist symbol in the top right corner of the page.

To create a new watchlist, select the ‘Watchlist’ icon.

Select ‘Create New Watchlist’ in the left hand corner and choose the name of your watchlist. Then you can select the + symbol to add markets to your watchlist.

How to place a trade through TradingView

Once you are on your desired Spreadex market, select the ‘Trade’ icon which can be found at the bottom of the page.

On the right of the page, the order panel will appear. This can be used to personalise your trade. allows you to short (sell) the market, as well as go long (buy). Click ‘Buy’ or ‘Sell’ to choose the direction of your trade. Next, enter your stake per point, or for CFDs the amount of contracts. You can also add various different options to your order such as a stop or a limit order, as well as a stop loss or take profit.

The trade confirmation will show at which size and price you have placed the order, and at which size and price it was executed at. Most trades will be executed in milliseconds, faster than many other traditional ways of trading.

You can monitor your position by selecting the ‘Spreadex Trading’ panel. Your open positions will appear here with relevant information regarding the position.

By selecting the ‘Pencil’ icon, you can modify your take profit or stop loss, or add one in.

By selecting the ‘X’ symbol on the right of the pencil , you will have the option to close your position. You can also partially close positions.

How to use TradingView Charts

Once you have logged in and searched for your desired market, a chart of the market will appear. You can change the chart's timeframe by selecting the option at the top of the page. A dropdown menu will appear with various interval options

On the left-hand side of the page are a wide range of tools that can be used to support technical analysis.

At the top of the page if you select indicators, you can access a wide range of technical indicators that can also be applied to the charts.
