GET STARTED WITH CHARTS

We provide you with an advanced charting package to allow you to analyse the markets to look at previous price movements and to use technical analysis to determine possible entry and exit points for your trades.

OPENING A CHART

Once you have logged in to your account and found the market you are looking for, click on the chart icon next to the 'Trade' button.

RE-SIZING CHARTS

The chart for your chosen instrument will open in a window in your trading screen. You can re-size this as you wish and move around the screen to a convenient position.

If you wish to open the chart in a separate, full screen browser window, click on the icon next to the close icon.

DATE RANGES, ZOOM, TIMELINES

To change the date range of your chart, all you need to do is click the drop-down menu at the top left of the chart. 

Choose from tick-by-tick to monthly.

To zoom in and out of the chart you can use your mouse wheel to do so. If your timeline is enabled under Display->Show->Timeline you can drag the edges of the timeline to configure the time period you want to look at. 

Our charts show historical data for up to 10 years on all major instruments.

TECHNICAL ANALYSIS TOOLS

Guide your trading using our advanced technical analysis tools. Our advanced tool set features over 30 technical indicators and over 20 technical indicators.

There is also an Automated Candlestick Pattern Recognition and automated trend line drawing tools to select from.

To use these tools highlight the drop-down menu named 'Technical' at the top of the chart and choose from the available tools. A tick by each one represents the ones that are currently active. 

You can configure each individual overlay or indicator at the bottom left of the chart. Simply select the cog icon next to the respective indicator or overlay.

DISPLAY OPTIONS

Choose from 10 chart styles including line, bar, candlestick and mountain under the 'Display' drop-down menu at the top of the chart.

You are also able to configure what information is included on the chart and whether the bid, ask or mid-point is used.

DRAWING TOOLS, TEMPLATES

Draw your own custom lines, arrows and more with our drawing tools. To open the drawing tools use the 'More' drop-down menu at the top of the chart window and go to 'Drawing'. 

You can clear all your previous drawings by hitting the first option called 'Clear Drawings'.

You can save, edit and delete templates by going to the 'Templates' section of the drop-down menu under 'More'. 

You are also able to edit general chart settings under the 'More' drop-down menu and clicking on 'Settings'.

Alternatively you can use our automated Pro Trend Lines tool.

TRADE VIA CHARTS

You can place, monitor and edit trades and orders to open directly from the chart. 

Click on either the red or green current price buttons in the top right to open the deal ticket.  

After placing your trade or order, you will then see your trade as a line across your chart. 

To edit and close positions or orders directly from the chart click on the trade or order and you can then drag and drop any stop/limit orders to a new level, or you can click the green close button to close the trade.
