EXCHANGE TRADED FUNDS

ETF trading is an easier way to trade the performance of indices, sectors and commodities.

An ETF is simply a security that tracks an index, commodity or set of assets as if it was an index, but is as easy to trade as a stock.

ETF (Exchange Traded Funds) Guide

An Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) is a fund that purchases underlying assets such as gold, shares, bonds, FX and then divides these assets into shares. This allows an ETF to be traded like a stock on a stock exchange. Prices will move throughout the day, unlike a mutual fund.

An ETF allows traders to gain access to a diverse fund that would otherwise be difficult to trade, at a lower cost.

With spread betting you are trading the share value of the ETF. You can buy if you think the value of the share will increase, and sell if you think it will decrease.
