How ‘significant’ do trades need to be to qualify?

  • Trades must exceed £10k notional for equities and £40k notional for indices. Stock indices, forex, commodities, cryptocurrencies, bonds, and interest rates all count as indices. Both buying and selling actions are considered as separate trades.

What’s included in my ‘financial instrument portfolio’?

  • A financial instrument portfolio includes cash, stocks, bonds, ISAs, trading accounts, mutual funds and SIPPs. It does not include real estate, company pensions and non-liquid assets.
