MF global to spreadex switch

You will have read that MF Global entered into administration on 31st October 2011. Following negotiations with the special administrators, Spreadex has acquired the client list of MF Global Spreads.

We have set up a Spreadex spread betting account for you providing you with access to trade on hundreds of global markets.

Your account number and username have been emailed to you. If you do not have your account number or password, please call us on 01727 895 000 or email us on info@spreadex.com

Why have I got a Spreadex account?
Following negotiations with the special administrators, Spreadex has acquired the client list of MF Global Spreads. If you do not wish to have an account with Spreadex please email us and request that your account is closed.

How do I login to my Spreadex account?
You can login to your new Spreadex account at www.spreadex.com online or via your smartphone. You can login using your new Spreadex account number and password, which have been emailed to you. If you do not have your account number or password or are having problems logging in, please either click on ‘Forgotten Password?’ at www.spreadex.com or call our customer services team on 01727 895 000. You can change your password to something more memorable by clicking on 'My Account' then 'Edit my details' once you are logged in.

I didn’t have a credit limit with MF Global. Can I apply for one with Spreadex?
You can apply for a credit limit with Spreadex by contacting us at 01727 895 000 or emailing us at info@spreadex.com. You will be required to sign up to the Spreadex Terms and Conditions.

I have money owed to me by MF Global. What is happening with that?
Spreadex has only bought the MF Global Spreads client list. No money or debts are involved in the transaction. Spreadex is not responsible for the return of the client money from KPMG, the special administrators of MF Global. 

Is Spreadex a regulated company?
Formed in 1999 and regulated by the FCA and Gambling Commission, Spreadex has developed a reputation for excellent customer care and for handling some of the largest bets in the industry. Is my money protected with Spreadex?
Yes. As you are classified as a retail client, any money we hold on your behalf will be held in a segregated bank account in accordance with the FCA client money rules. Under no circumstances will we use any of your own money with our own funds or place such funds with a third party e.g. a broker. Can I bet on financials and sports from the same account with Spreadex?
