Spreadex Market Update

03.08.12 Friday Afternoon

Very positive non-farm figures in the states this afternoon has set the precedent for this afternoons trading with markets notably moving higher as the US labour market seems to have improved far beyond expectations.

This has come to much relief to investors as equities across the board shoot higher.

Royal Bank of Scotland posted a pre-tax loss of £101m for the second quarter of 2012, a stark improvement from the £678m lost in the same period last year.

The groups computer systems failure which caused a huge payments backlog was partly blamed for the loss.

Over in Spain Mariano Rajoy has opened the door to a potential Spanish Sovereign bailout, insisting that the ECB would have to confirm terms of any rescue deal before he could make a decision. So things are looking up this Friday, lets hope this trend continues.
