Asian shares ended their session lower



Asian shares ended their session lower on the whole throughout the night after economic data released from China once again failed to impress investors. Bucking the trend, the Nikkei ended its session higher, closing at around 16937. Toyota has announced strong earnings today, spurred along be a weaker Yen. The figures released show an 11% increase in operating profits from last year.

US futures pushed higher throughout the night as US election news added further gains to the index to trade at record levels. European bourses are looking to follow suit with the FTSE 100 called to open 30 points higher whilst the DAX is looking to open 60 points firmer.

Looking at the economic calendar, investors will be awaiting UK Services PMI at 10:30 this morning with the expected figure estimated at 58.5. Shortly following this, ADP non-farm employment change and ISM non-manufacturing PMI is to be released from America.
