Spreadex Market Update

Both European and US markets have slowly been trading higher

Both European and US markets have slowly been trading higher following the news that Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki is stepping down to make way for recently nominated Haider al-Abadi. Related to this story, the governor of Duhok Province in northern Iraq has claimed that the US and the UK bear "political and ethical" responsibility to help fight Islamic State (IS). The FTSE and the DAX have been doing particularly well trading up by approximately 0.7% and 0.91% respectively.

Meanwhile at the Ukraine-Russia border, the Russian conveys have arrived and are being inspected by guards in order to confirm that the cargo is indeed humanitarian supplies as opposed to the much rumoured option that the convoys are a rouse as a pretext to send military supplies to the rebels.

Finally, the World Health Organisation (WHO) has stated that the numbers of reported cases and deaths due to the outbreak of Ebola vastly underestimates the scale of the outbreak.

Gold is mostly unchanged, so too is the dollar.
