Andrew Mount's Racing Tips
Andrew continued his fine form with 7-2 winner NO RISK WITH LOU on Sunday and has two recommended bets/trades on Monday, November 4th…
The Noel Williams-trained METKAYINA is trading odds-on for this fascinating mares’ maiden hurdle after her 16-1 fourth in the Grade 2 mares’ bumper at Aintree in April but the five-year-old’s sole success came on the back of a recent outing (albeit for another yard) and she might need the experience on her hurdles debut. She faces two tough rivals in the shape of BLUE LAS and BARRABO)L, with the former on a hat-trick after bumper wins at Southwell and Uttoxeter. The form of her comfortable Uttoxeter win is working out extremely well, with runner-up Walkadina landing a maiden hurdle by 13 lengths on her reappearance at Uttoxeter last week and third-placed Dream Shadow, who was also returned to Uttoxeter for last month’s comeback, landing a bumper by three and a half lengths. Barrabool also ran behind Blue Las in that Uttoxeter bumper last April, finishing fifth. She’s joined bang in-form Harry Derham over the summer and improvement looks likely. Fixed odds punters might want to try the Blue Las/Barrabool reversed forecast, while the angle for spread bettors is to sell Metkayina in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market.
Recommendation: Oppose METKAYINA in Plumpton 12.58
BREWING (stall 1 of 9) has struggled on soft ground the last twice, trailing home 15th of 18 when 33-1 for a 7f heritage handicap at Ascot on his latest outing, but the son of Showcasing will be happier back on the all-weather today. His full record on synthetics stands at 1114161 (5-7), improving to 11 (2-2) at Kempton only and he should get a good two into the race from pace angle CUBAN TIGER, drawn in the next-door stall. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
Recommendation: Back BREWING in Kempton 1.50
