Andrew Mount's Racing Tips

Andrew Mount's Racing Tips 09.02.24

Andrew scored with his sole surviving bet (QUEEN OF ZAFEEN, 3-1) on Thursday and has two recommended bets/trades on Friday, February 9th.

KEMPTON 1.40

There are two runners I like in this 2m handicap hurdle – No No Tonic and AMELIA’S DANCE, with the last-named the recommendation as she has the consistent profile ideal for a buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market. Robert Walford’s mare has a fine record on sharp right-handed tracks such as Kempton, Taunton and Wincanton, recording form figures at the three venues in Class 4 or lower company of 30351134122 (3-11), with the latest runner-up effort at 33-1. She surprised me by finishing second at left-handed Newbury last time and should be thereabouts once more.

Recommendation: Back AMELIA’S DANCE in Kempton 1.40

CHELMSFORD 5.15

Since the beginning of 2018, 11 of the 18 amateur riders’ races run at Chelmsford have gone to a runner drawn in stalls 1, 2 or 3 and we see plenty of the wide-drawn runners take the scenic route under their inexperienced jockeys rather than duck in and attempt to get cover. Backing the three lowest-drawn runners would have returned a profit of £5.58 to a £1 level stake at SP. ALICE KITTY (stall 1 of 12) is hardly prolific, scoring just twice from 27 career outings, but one of those wins came over course and distance and Matt Crawley’s mare has the assistance of Simon Walker. Buy in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

Recommendation: Back ALICE KITTY in Chelmsford 5.15

Please note that the picks recommended in this blog post are based on past performance and should not be considered a guarantee for future winning outcomes, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
