Andrew heads to the afternoon jumps fixture at Ludlow for his two recommended bets/trades on Wednesday, October 9th.

LUDLOW 2.35

LITTLE VENICE caught the eye when fourth of six at Windsor on his final Flat outing in August, doing well to get within three lengths of the winner after pulling hard. That form was boosted when the runner-up/third won next time, and she ran with credit in a first-time hood on her hurdles debut when a 12-1 fourth of six at Plumpton last month. She’ll need to jump better if she’s going to win today but the bigger field and likely stronger pace will help, and the Neil Mulholland yard is in good form. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

Recommendation: Back LITTLE VENICE in Ludlow 2.35

LUDLOW 5.05

COURT IN A STORM ran with credit at Huntingdon on his debut back in April, keeping on well into second place at odds of 10-1 in a maiden bumper. Kim Bailey does well with seasonal debutants in the early months of the peak jumps season (October-November), with those reappearing after a break of at least 160 days landing 27 of their 107 starts for a profit of £48.54 to a £1 level stake at SP (El Rio was a 7-1 winner on this angle at Huntingdon yesterday). Court In A Storm also gets a first-time tongue-tie today which could bring about improvement and the five-year-old rates a buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market.

Recommendation: Back COURT IN A STORM in Ludlow 5.05
