Andrew heads to the Flat meeting at Ascot for his three recommended bets/trades on Friday, May 10th.

ASCOT 2.20

MISS RASCAL (stall 1 of 6) is drawn on the outside of the field in this 5f fillies’ maiden but is likely to prove hard to beat based on last month’s debut sixth at Newmarket’s Craven meeting. Her patient running style put her at a big disadvantage that day thanks to the tailwind and Ascot should suit the daughter of Havana Gold. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

Recommendation: Back MISS RASCAL in Ascot 2.20

ASCOT 2.55

HILLBRIDGE is another horse who caught the eye against the pace bias when making her debut at the Craven meeting, racing keenly/running green before keeping on into mid-division in a 1m fillies’ maiden. The step up to 1m2f should suit and three of her five rivals lack previous experience. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

Recommendation: Back HILLBRIDGE in Ascot 2.55

ASCOT 4.35

DOUBLE JUMP landed a Doncaster nursery on his handicap debut last September and ran as though the outing were needed when seventh of nine on his reappearance at Newmarket last month on what was also his first start since a gelding operation. Clive Cox has a good recent record with runners on their second start since gelded (15 from 62 in the past four years for a profit of £26.18 to a £1 level stake at SP) and the booking of Tom Marquand and high draw add weight to the case now up in trip for this 1m handicap. Buy in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market or take a fixed odds price, each-way.

Recommendation: Back DOUBLE JUMP in Ascot 4.35
