Andrew Mount's Racing Tips
Andrew found 3-1 winner CEPHALUS on Sunday and has two recommended bets/trades at Plumpton and Wolverhampton on Monday, March 11th.
NORDIC TIGER is on a hat-trick after wins at Wincanton and Huntingdon but the switch to left-handed Plumpton is far from certain to suit (he has jumped out to his right on occasions) and that latest win, which came on desperate going, might have taken plenty out of him. Nine horses who finished first or second at that Huntingdon meeting on February 8th have run since and only one has won – 6-4 chance Fortunefavorsbold. The other eight were beaten at odds of 11-10, 2-1, 9-4, 3-1, 3-1, 5-1, 5-1 and 15-2 and Harry Derham’s five-year-old rates a small sell in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market.
Recommendation: Oppose NORDIC TIGER in Plumpton 4.30
INTOXICATA was only seventh to Valentinka in a 1m fillies’ handicap at Southwell last time but that run, just four days after his 7f Lingfield third, might have come too soon. Ed Dunlop’s four-year-old has finished in the first three in 12 of her 18 all-weather starts, including form figures in Wolverhampton handicaps of 12233 (1-5), and the cut back to 7f could suit. Jason Hart, who steered her to victory at Newcastle in January, takes over from Robert Havlin. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
Recommendation: Back INTOXICATE in Wolverhampton 7.00
Please note that the picks recommended in this blog post are based on past performance and should not be considered a guarantee for future winning outcomes, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
