Andrew continued his fine for with 8-1 Galway winner SIRJACK THOMAS on Tuesday and has two recommended bets/trades on Wednesday, September 11th.

LINGFIELD 4.15

Champion Apprentice contender Joe Leavy is riding exceptionally well at the moment and a winner at Leicester yesterday took his score for the year to 43 winners from 302 rides (14.2% strike-rate) for a profit of £2.12 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 36.34, A/E = 1.18). The young rider takes over from George Rooke on JOOLIANOSS, who was only beaten by half a length when third over course and distance on last month’s handicap debut. The James Evans-trained three-year-old fared clear best of the closers that day and it was good to see the patiently-ridden 12-length sixth, Strive, come out and run second at Brighton earlier this week. Joolianoss clocked a respectable time for his latest effort, and I expect he’ll be ridden closer to the pace today. Buy at 24 in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

Recommendation: Back JOOLIANOSS in Lingfield 4.15

LINGFIELD 5.50

THE PUG returned to form when professionally ridden at Southwell last time (he’s been ridden by a 7lb claimer in his three previous outings), finishing second over the 1m3f trip. Sylvester Kirk’s four-year-old shaped as though the return to this 1m4f trip were needed and he won here last year under today’s pilot Rob Hornby.  The gelding can usually be relied upon to run his race when given handicap company on the all-weather and a recent outing (within the past 28 days), recording form figures 32162113752 (3-11) for a profit of £7.00 to a £1 level stake at SP. Buy at 14 in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price (9-2).

Recommendation:  Back THE PUG in Lingfield 5.50
