Andrew Mount's Racing Tips
Andrew found 9-2 winner BEAU BALKO in his latest column & successfully opposed CHASE A FORTUNE (4th, 16-5). He has two recommended bets/trades on Monday, November 11th.
The Jonjo-O’Neill-trained HOLLY gained valuable course experience when fourth in a 2m2f handicap chase here on her recent debut over the larger obstacles and that form was boosted when the 14-length third, Beau Balko, scored at Wincanton last Saturday. Like Beau Balko, Holly would have needed the experience and the 10-1 shot still managed to finish ahead of the 9-4 favourite – Nicky Henderson’s Persian Time – despite some indifferent jumping. The step up to 2m5f promises top suit and she returns to mares-only company for the first time since her comfortable 16-1 Market Rasen handicap hurdle success in January. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price (8-1 at the time of writing).
Recommendation: Back HOLLY in Kempton 2.50
ROGUE ENCORE clocked a fast time when coming late to score over course and distance on his latest start and Peter Chapple-Hyam’s three-year-old can repeat the dose. That run was his first in cheekpieces and first on the all-weather since a gelding operation and there could be plenty more improvement to come. We could have done with the usual Newcastle headwind (there isn’t one forecast tonight) given his patient running style but he’s drawn next to likely pace angle The African Queen and should get a good tow into the race. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
Recommendation: Back ROGUE ENCORE in Newcastle 6.00
Please note that the picks recommended in this blog post are based on past performance and should not be considered a guarantee for future winning outcomes, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
