AN OUTLAW’S GRACE could only finish sixth of 20 when 4-1 for the big sales races at York’s Ebor meeting last month but his stall 13 draw made life difficult in a finish dominated by low numbers (stall 4 beat stall 2). Richard Hannon’s Dandy Man colt is fitted with first-time cheekpieces this afternoon and he can bounce back to the sort of form that saw him finish fourth in a Group 2 at Chantilly in July. I’m expecting plenty of winners at Doncaster this week to have been beaten from poor high draws at York’s Ebor meeting last month and the one that stands out in this 7f nursery is JORGE ALVARES. The Kevin Ryan yard is a little quiet but the gelded son of Cotai Glory caught the eye when an 18-1 fourth to Diligently from stall 16 in the Goffs Premier Yearling Stakes (winner/runner up drawn in stalls 4 and 2). He fared best of those to come from off the pace and looks ready for the step up to 7f. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
