Andrew heads to the Flat meetings at Newbury and Beverley for his two recommended bets/trades on Tuesday, June 25th.

BEVERLEY 4.17

BOSC GIRL is a ten-race maiden, but Richard Fahey’s filly usually runs her race when given a smallish field, recording form figures of 322232 (0-6) in single-figure line-ups. The four-year-old hasn’t been seen on the track since her York third in mid-October but she has run well fresh before and she clocked a fast time for her latest effort. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market.

Recommendation: Back BOSC GIRL in Beverley 4.17

NEWBURY 4.22

Generally speaking, it pays to race prominently at Newbury but, in races confined to apprentice jockeys, they often go off too hard in the early stages and set the race up for a closer. In the past ten renewals of this 1m3f apprentice handicap, eight of the winners were held up (from 64 runners) for a profit of £9.38 to a £1 level stake at SP, while front-runners (one from ten, -£3.50) and prominent racers (one from 31, -£26.67) have not fared so well. Simply backing any horse described as ‘held up’ in their latest start would have hit seven of the ten winners for a profit of £13.00. GOLDEN PHASE raced prominently when a modest fifth at Bath on her reappearance in April but has won twice at the same venue since reverting to patient tactics and can complete her hat-trick. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

Recommendation: Back GOLDEN PHASE in Newbury 4.22

Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
