Andrew Mount's Racing Tips 27.02.24

Andrew found 100-30 Wolverhampton winner DIBBLE DABBLE on Monday and has two recommended bets/trades on Tuesday, February 27th.

LEICESTER 3.05

NATTY NIGHT is proving very hard to win with, landing just one of his 14 starts in the past two years. Throw in the modest current form of the Venetia Williams yard and he looks worth opposing in this 2m6.5f handicap chase. The eight-year-old did win over the 2m4f trip here on his penultimate start when he had one of today’s rivals, Martalmix’jac, back in second but he raced wide on the better ground and may have been flattered. He has looked reluctant to line up on more than one occasion recently and rates a sell in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market. Fixed odds punters might want to side with overnight move WIDE TO THE WEST, a potential improver in first-time headgear.

Recommendation: Oppose NATTY NIGHT in Leicester 3.05

CATTERICK 3.50

WOLFBURG clocked a good time (according to Proform’s speed figures when fourth at Kelso when making his handicap debut in late December and the Sandy Thomson yard, quiet at the time, is in much better form now. Thomson’s runners traditionally do well in the depths of winter and had we backed them in from November until the end of February, since 2012, we’d have won 129 of our 713 bets (18.1%) for a profit of £221.02 to a £1 level stake at SP (+31% on turnover). Trip and ground look ideal for Wolfburg and he can be bought in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or backed at 11-4 in the fixed odds betting.

Recommendation: Back WOLFBURG in Catterick 3.50
