Andrew Mount's Racing Tips
Andrew bids to start the new week on a high with two recommended bets/trades at Taunton and Wolverhampton on Monday, December 30th.
In-form Jane Williams has a fine record with her handicappers in the month of December, scoring with 19 of the 104 qualifiers since 2018 for a profit of £28.51 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 13.71, A/E = 1.39). Castelfort, the most recent qualifier, was a 12-1 winner at Chepstow on Welsh Grand National Day and hat-trick seeker DESPEREAUX, a winner over course and distance last time, is likely to prove hard to beat. He’s now two from two since the cheekpieces were fitted and though up 8lb for his latest success he’s still 13lb below his career-high mark. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
Recommendation: Back DESPEREAUX in Taunton 2.52
HASHTAGNOTIONS shaped well over 7f here at Wolverhampton on his nursery debut last month, finishing a 40-1 sixth of 11. That form was boosted by a subsequent win from runner-up Flaine and Hashtagnotions himself got off the mark over 1m at Newcastle next time when fitted with a first-time visor. Richard Fahey’s last two winners to wear a first-time visor followed up (10-1 and 2-1) and the son of Mehmas can keep the ball rolling from his handy draw in stall 2. Buy in the Spreadex 50-30-20--10 market or take a fixed odds price.
Recommendation: Back HASHTAGNOTIONS in Wolverhampton 5.00
Please note that the picks recommended in this blog post are based on past performance and should not be considered a guarantee for future winning outcomes, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
