Daily Spread Betting Round-up
Heartbreak for Solihull, a comeback from the Seattle Seahawks and a controversial penalty for West Brom all feature in our Daily Spread Betting Roundup! But how much could you have won? Solihull denied scalp by persistent Millers – Solihull Moors v RotherhamThe Moors were no doubt already planning their 3rd round visit from Hull. The National League side were 3-0 up against Rotherham in the FA Cup, with just 14 minutes to run down on the clock. Yet the Millers, formally unthreatening, came alive in the final quarter. Freddie Ladapo made it 3-1 in the 76th minute, followed not long after by another from Michael Ihiekwe. Still, though, it was looking like it wasn’t going to be enough – that is until substitute Michael Smith scored a brace in the last 3 minutes, sending Rotherham through to the 3rd round. Coming on at a spread of 24-49, Smith’s vital pair of goals pushed his SMM make-up to 268 – that left lucky punters with 239 times their opening stake. Meanwhile any brave betters who thought the Millers could still progress when 3-0 down, and bought at a Rotherham to win match binary of 0-0.4 – they’d started at 55.5-62 – would have bagged 99.6 times their initial stake. Seahawks push ahead of 49ers – Minnesota Vikings @ Seattle SeahawksBehind 17-10 at intermission, the Seattle Seahawks rallied hard in the 2nd half of their visit from the Minnesota Vikings, eventually winning 37-30. That pushes the one-time Super Bowl winners to the top of NFC West, ahead of the San Francisco 49ers. Buying a Total Points price of 47-50, then, would have won you 17 times your initial bet, while backing a Total TD Minutes spread of 171-191 would left you with 85 times your opening stake thanks to a make-up of 276. Last-gasp penalty sends Baggies top – Preston v West BromIt was looking like West Brom’s grip at the top was about to slip. With time running out things were still 0-0 at Preston, a result that would have left them level on points with Leeds but behind on goal difference. One controversial 90th minute penalty later, converted by Charlie Austin, and the Baggies were back in 1st place, with a 2 point buffer between them and their promotion rivals. It also meant anyone buying a Penalty Goal Minutes spread of 14-17 was left with 73 times their original bet.
