Daily Spread Betting Round-up
Arteta gets his 2nd win at Arsenal, Ronaldo scores his 1st Serie A hat-trick, and Lukaku sends Inter to the top of the table – it’s the Daily Spread Betting Roundup! But what could you’ve won? Fiery Arteta inspires 2nd half turnaround – Arsenal v LeedsApparently Arsenal were on the receiving end of a rather irate Arteta at half time on Monday night. After being dominated by Leeds during the first 45 minutes, the new Gunners manager ‘shouted at lot’ during the interval, ‘really angry’ with how the team were playing. And it worked, with a much-improved 2nd half performance, including a winning goal from Reiss Nelson 10 minutes after the restart. That meant anyone buying a Nelson Goal Minutes spread of 10-13 was left with 42 times their initial stake. The 1-0 victory did also mean, however, that you’d have needed to sell an opening Total Goals spread of 3.15-3.35 to make 2.15 times your original bet. Ronaldo’s first Serie A hat-trick – Juventus v CagliariIt’s taken him 18 games, but finally Cristiano Ronaldo has a Serie A hat-trick to go with those scored in the Premier League, La Liga and Champions League. It took until the 2nd half for Juve to break down Cagliari, with Ronaldo finding the back of the net in the 49th, 67th and 82nd minutes. That, unsurprisingly, led to a rather large SMM make-up: a massive 429, in fact. And even when taking into consideration Ronaldo’s chunky starting spread of 82-97, you’re still left with a hefty 332 times your opening stake. Ronaldo wasn’t done their helping out punters. His 2nd goal was from the spot, meaning buying a Penalty Goal Minutes spread of 18-21 won you 46 times your original wager. The concentration of action in the 2nd half – Gonzalo Higuain also scored in the 81st minute – also meant the Total Goal Minutes make-up hit 279 against a starting price of 164-179. In other words, 100 times your initial bet. Lukaku sends Inter top – Napoli v Inter MilanJuve’s win over Cagliari briefly sent them to the top of Serie A, only to be leapfrogged by Inter Milan due to their 3-1 victory at Napoli. For the 2nd league game in a row Romelu Lukaku scored a brace, his 14th and 33rd minute goals leaving him with a SMM make-up of 80. Take off a starting price of 30-36, and that’s 44 times your original stake. Despite recent form suggesting otherwise, the game started with a choice Napoli/Inter Goal Supremacy spread of -0.1-0.1. Sell and you end up with 2.1 times your opening bet.
