Daily Spread Betting Round-up
A mad evening at St Mary’s and a record-breaking trip to Lithuania for Ronaldo all feature in our Daily Spread Betting Roundup. But how much could you have won? England’s attack battles England’s defence – Euro 2020 QualifierWildly entertaining, if a bit concerning for Gareth Southgate, England’s thrilling 5-3 win over the consistently over-performing Kosovo was an absolute DREAM for spread betters. There are so many different angles to look at the madness at St Mary’s. As highlighted by Spreadex, Jadon Sancho made the most of his start, bagging a brace just before half time to net a SMM make-up of 134 – against an original price of 28-33, that’s 101 times your initial stake. Rivalling Sancho was Valon Berisha. The rarely seen Lazio midfielder made the most of Michael Keane’s mistake in the 1st minute, before scoring a 2nd after the break. Compare his SMM make-up of 99 to the paltry opening spread of 4-7, and that’s 92 times your original stake. Anyone purely focused on Kosovo’s performance could have made a pretty penny. Their 1st Goal spread was an unpromising 70-73; Berisha’s rapid opener meant you could have won 69 times your initial stake if you’d sold at that price. The fact they visitors nabbed a penalty in the 54th minute was also a surprise, if the opening Kosovo Penalty Goal Minutes spread of 2-4 is anything to go by. The sheer number of goals was obviously a money maker as well. The Goal Rush market hit 100 against a starting price of 41-44, while Total Goal Minutes reached 258 against 161-176. Best of all, Goals x Shirts made up to 792 – compare that to a measly opening price of 123-143, and that’s 649 times your original stake. Ronaldo eclipses Keane’s record – Euro 2020 QualifiersWhile nothing really compared to England’s game against Kosovo, Tuesday night was notable for a record-breaking performance from Cristiano Ronaldo. The Juventus ace travelled to Lithuania with a 21 goal total across his various Euro qualifying campaigns over the years, just shy of Robbie Keane’s 23. Well, now he’s on 25. Ronaldo put 4 past the hosts, with a 7th minute penalty followed by a 2nd half hat-trick. Not only did he surpass Keane, he now has an unbeaten 34 goals across both Euro qualifying and finals, and sits at 93 international goals total, a potentially bridgeable 16 short of Ali Daei’s all-time record. And even factoring in a high starting SMM spread of 104-124, Ronaldo’s remarkable evening could have won you 241 times your initial stake thanks to a make-up of 365.
