Big Weekend Winners from PL Matchday 3

What were the big winning bets from Matchday 3 of the Premier League 2021/22 season - and just how much money did punters win?

big weekend winners from PL matchday 3

1. Man City v Arsenal - Multi Bookings (Settled at 450)
As City ran riot against 10-man Arsenal and ended up securing a 5-0 drubbing, punters who decided to bet on the Multi-Bookings market would have been happiest with the action on the pitch.

Multi-Bookings is based on first-half Bookings Points (10 points per yellow, 25 per red) multiplied by second-half Bookings Points.

And with a final settlement of 450, punters who bought at the starting spread of 215-285 could have ended the afternoon with a massive 165 times their opening wager!

2. Man City v Arsenal - Ferran Torres SMM (Settled at 180)
Staying with City's dominance, Pep Guardiola's side are seemingly eager to show that they will be dangerous once again this season and fully capable of defending their title - even without a recognised striker.

Back-to-back 5-0 victories show that City are in ominous form, and Ferran Torres managed to grab a double - with each goal coming near the start and the end of the match.

Ending his afternoon with a huge SMM spread settlement of 180, punters who fancied the Spaniard to have a successful Saturday and bought at the relatively low starting spread of 33-39 would have been left with 141 times their opening stake.

3. West Ham v Crystal Palace - Total Goal Minutes (Settled at 235)
The Hammers have started their season strongly, and were favoured to continue that form against a Crystal Palace side still trying to find its new identity under new boss Patrick Vieira, who had not scored in their opening 2 PL fixtures. As such, this fixture probably didn't scream out as a potential goal-fest.

However, with an opening TGM spread of 133-143, punters who did fancy the goals to fly in would have been rewarded with a return of 92 times their opening wager. A nice consolation for any Hammers fans who may have bought on the spread and been disappointed with 2 dropped points!

4. Tottenham v Watford - Cross-Bookings (Settled at 900)
On a weekend where Spurs would finish top while Arsenal finished bottom at the same time for the first time in history, those who bought Cross-Bookings would have been the big winners of the weekend.

Heung-Min Son scored the only goal of the game, but the match was littered, but equally distributed, with cards - with three for each team.

Cross Bookings is based on Team A's Total Booking Points multiplied by Team B's Total Booking Points. At an opening spread of 205-255, punters who decided to buy would have ended their Sunday afternoon with a huge 645 times their opening wager!

5. Wolves v Man Utd - Fixed Odds Bet-Builder: Greenwood to Score, Fred to be Carded, Over 8.5 Match Corners, Over 29.5 Booking Points for Both Teams Combined (16/1)

Although they rode their luck for long periods, Man Utd grabbed another win and extended their unbeaten away run to a new English record against Wolves at Molineux, with young starlet Mason Greenwood once again getting on the scoresheet.

For fixed odds punters who used Spreadex's Bet Builder feature, backing the multi-outcome of Greenwood to score a goal, Fred to receive a card, over 8.5 match corners and over 29.5 combined booking points could have been backed at 16/1 - a not too shabby return.
