Daily Spread Betting Round-up

Big winning bets from Monday's football, racing & NFL

What happened in the Monday Night Football between Arsenal and Crystal Palace?

Arsenal needed an injury time equaliser from substitute Alexandre Lacazette to make it 2-2 and rescue a point at home to a spirited Palace team. The Gunners started brightly and opened the scoring through Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but with Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira driving the Eagles on from the visiting dugout, Palace came back into the game and led through Christian Benteke and Odsonne Edouard until deep into added time.

Palace Shirts (settled at 42)

Palace have a good record at the Emirates of late, and while they couldn’t quite hold on for the three points, they did make it four visits without defeat – two wins and two draws. Without their talisman Wilfried Zaha, the Eagles have failed to soar in recent years, but this latest incarnation of the team, under Vieira, is made of sturdier stuff. Both number 20 Benteke and number 22 Edouard were on the scoresheet for the visitors, and with the pre-match spread set at 13-15, buyers of Palace Shirts made a tidy 27 times their bet.

Who won the NFL Monday Night Football between the Tennessee Titans and the Buffalo Bills?

The Titans held on for a thrilling 34-31 victory as Buffalo refused a field goal to go for the win and came up just short. Buffalo regained possession three points down with just over three minutes on the clock and drove to the Titans 3 but they literally couldn’t get over the line. Derrick Henry was the hero for Tennessee, scoring three touchdowns.

Derrick Henry Super Mega Minutes (settled at 272)

Henry came into this game as the NFL’s leading rusher, despite the rest of the league having already played their 6th game of the season, and finished with 143 yards, topping 100 yards for the 5th straight game, the 1st player to do so since DeMarco Murray went for eight straight in 2014. The Super Mega Minutes spread adds the player’s TD minutes, doubling the minutes for any 2nd score and trebling those of a 3rd. Henry has been in fine form and we saw plenty of buying, with the spread set at 57-69, and those buyers made a tasty profit of 203 times their bet.

Who impressed in Monday’s horse racing?

Jason Hart came home 2nd last on Finbars Lad in the opener at Pontefract, but his day picked up somewhat from there, winning on each of his other three rides to land a hat-trick. He guided 3/1 favourite Reelemin in the 1.45, 11/4 favourite Thunderclap in the 3.30 and 4/1 chance Yukon Mission in the 4.40 across the line first to complete a memorable day.

Jason Hart Jockey SM Performance (settled at 150)

The Jockey Performance market awards 25 points for a win, 10 for 2nd and 5 for 3rd. The Super Mega Performance market uses the same system but doubles the points for a 2nd win and trebles them for a 3rd. Hart began the meeting with a spread of 31.5-33.5 (this dropped to 27.5-29.5 after the 1st race) meaning those who got on board before the meeting started made a profit of 116.5 times their stake.
