WHAT HAPPENED NEXT?

It has been a rough week for fans of Scottish football as Rangers, Hearts, Hibs, and Aberdeen were all knocked out of their respective European competitions, but spare a thought for Harrogate Town fans who saw their side battered by Blackburn.

That clash from Wetherby Road features in our big winning bets round up alongside cricket action from South Africa and rugby league from the NRL.

HARROGATE TOWN v BLACKBURN ROVERS – BLA/HAR SUPREMACY (SETTLED AT 100)

Blackburn Rovers headed across the Pennines to leafy North Yorkshire on Wednesday evening for their first competitive meeting with Harrogate Town. It would be a night to remember for the travelling Rovers fans.

Priced as 0.7-0.9 favourites on the Supremacy spread, the Championship outfit raced into a 4-0 lead at half-time and they did not ease up in the second 45. A penalty from John Buckley made it 5-0 in the 52nd minute before three goals in the space of eight minutes hammered home Blackburn’s advantage as they ran out 8-0 winners.

It was a superb night for Supremacy buyers who came away with a win of 7.1x their stake.

SOUTH AFRICA v AUSTRALIA – SA/AUS SUPREMACY (SETTLED AT -111)

England’s clash with New Zealand may have drawn top billing over here but there has been plenty of high-class international cricket this week with the Asian Cup getting underway and South Africa’s clash with Australia in Durban.

Sandpaper-gate and some abrasive Aussies have turned this into quite a rivalry and ahead of Wednesday’s match, the hosts were narrow favourites on the Supremacy which was 0-8 before play.

Australia batted first, and led by Mitchell Marsh who was not-out on 92, they reached a score of 226-6 from their 20 overs. Chasing a huge score down was always likely to be a tall order, but the Proteas capitulated to 115 all out with just three players hitting a double-figure score.

A 111-run win for Australia saw the Supremacy spread settle at -111 with sellers winning 111x their stake.

BRISBANE BRONCOS v MELBOURNE STORM – SUALAUVI FAALOGO SUPERMEGA MINUTES (SETTLED AT 183)

Sualauvi Faalogo is far from a household name in rugby league circles but he made the best impression possible on his NRL debut yesterday, coming off the bench to help his side to victory over a rotated Brisbane Broncos side.

Entering the fray in the 34th minute, the Samoan wonderkid slotted in at fullback and just three minutes later he had his first career try after a sublime break. He also rounded off the scoring in the 72nd minute to round off a good night’s work for the Storm.

With Faalogo’s second try counting double, his Super Mega Minutes spread made up at 183 against ba pre-match spread of 10-13. Buyers were no doubt buzzing with his performance as they landed a win of 170x their stake.

Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
