As always in our daily betting blog, we run through the big spread betting winners from Monday and Tuesday's sporting action. From the international football action on show, Davis Cup tennis and early week horse racing, there was plenty to get stuck into for sports spread betting fans despite the relative lack of sport.

Here we run through some of those big winning spread bets!

Please remember Spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit. They may not be suitable for everyone so please ensure you fully understand the risks involved.

SAN MARINO V FINLAND – TGM SUPREMACY S.M/FIN (SETTLED AT -18)

In the EURO 2024 qualifying, minnows San Marino had another memorable night as the world's worst-ranked team managed to score a goal in a third competitive match in a row for the first time in their history.

Although they still fell to a 2-1 defeat against Finland, a late goal at the death insured that they came away from the match with some sense of moral victory, despite losing all 10 matches in Group H.

They will now surely look to build on these small successes and set new challenges as a plucky underdog - and will surely be confident of at least shedding their status as FIFA's worst ranked side after the beatings fellow minnows Gibraltar took recently.

In terms of football spread bettors, placing a buy bet on the Total Goal Minute Supremacy market proved a shrewd choice, albeit in large part to the late timing of San Marino's goal.

With the spread being a negative one in light of it being San Marino/Finland at an initial -176 - -162, a final make-up of just -18 meant a big winning buy bet of 144x their stake!

DAVIS CUP: DIALLO V VIRTANEN SET BETTING (CAN-FIN) – OTTO VIRTANEN 2-0 (SETTLED AT 100)

Although the ATP season came to a close with the ATP Finals at the weekend, there are still a few big events to come including the Next-Gen ATP Finals and of course the 'World Cup of tennis' - The Davis Cup - with the finals of the competition taking place this week.

First up was a meeting between last year's winners Canada and underdogs Finland on Tuesday, and after the big-serving veteran Milos Raonic gave the holders a 1-0 lead in the opening rubber, young Canadian Gabriel Diallo knew he would secure the tie if he beat fellow youngster Otto Virtanen of Finland.

In a match-up of aggressive, big servers, it was always likely to be a tightly-fought match but it was ultimately Virtanen who struck the decisive blows to win the match in straight sets 6-4 7-5 before teaming up with Harri Heliovaara in the deciding doubles rubber to get his country through to the semi-finals.

For punters who backed Virtanen with confidence and anticipated a straight sets win (2-0 in our Set Betting market), an initial buy stake placed at the opening spread of 19 - 27.8 meant a return of 72.2x with a make-up of 100.

KEMPTON 18:00 20TH NOVEMBER – LE GEYT 50-30-20-10 (SETTLED AT 20)

When it comes to horse racing spread betting with Spreadex, one of the punters' favourites is our 50-30-20-10 market. This means you can still win a profit even if your horse doesn't come first, or sometimes even second - depending on the starting spread. Winners are awarded 50, second place 30, 20 for third and 10 for fourth.

If the horse does not place, the market settles at 0. Those who heeded Andrew Mount's betting tips advice on our blog for Monday were rewarded as Le Geyt finished in third place in the 18.00 at Kempton.

For those of you who need a tune up on our horse racing spread betting markets, we have a handy guide for punters.

Having come second from a starting spread of just 6 - 8, buyers on the spread were awarded 12x their stake.

Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
