We start with the football betting action from the African Cup of Nations and a quite extraordinary collapse from the host nation Ivory Coast which will likely seal their elimination from their home tournament.
Facing the unfancied surprise packages Equatorial Guinea, the first half was a cagey affair before a goal from the underdogs which led them into the break ahead, despite the hosts believing they had scored a quick equaliser which was ultimately ruled out by VAR.
With the Elephants huffing and puffing in the early stages of the second half, substitute Jean-Phillipe Krasso thought he had produced the crucial equaliser just minutes after his introduction but VAR once again intervened and ruled out the goal for offside.
That seemed to deflate Ivory Coast and prompted an incredible collapse. Two quick goals shortly after that moment and a late strike in the closing minutes consigned the hosts to a humiliating 4-0 defeat despite incredibly having 12 more shots and 10 more corners during the match.
For football spread betting punters, selling on the Eq. Guinea/Ivory Coast Total Goal Minutes Supremacy market proved to be a shrewd choice. Despite the opening spread standing at 59 - 73, the final make-up of -278 meant a profit of 337x punters' opening sell stake!

Tennis betting punters will have certainly enjoyed the last few days of action from the Australian Open as some cracking matches took place in the fourth-round and quarter-finals. One such match was the meeting between Alexander Zverev and Britain's Cameron Norrie, which ended in unfortunate fashion for the Brit who fought hard but fell in a fifth-set, 10-point match tie-break.
Norrie twice battled back after losing the first and third set, and even broke back in the decider after losing the first game but was ultimately denied as Zverev's greater power-hitting and big-match experience at Grand Slams secured him the victory in a comfortable 10-3 scoreline in the match tie-break and with an overall score of 7-5 3-6 6-3 4-6 7-6.
For tennis spread betting punters, envisaging a long battle and buying on the Total Points spread proved a profitable decision. With the final make-up at 319 from a starting spread of 232 - 239, this meant a return of 78x punters' initial buy stake.

And finally, we end with a winning racing punt from Andrew Mount's Racing Tips, which you can follow on the Spreadex Betting Blog daily. Mount tipped Amiwithani in the 16:10 race at Kempton on Monday, and this duly turned out to be a winner.
The tip was based on the Spreadex 50 Index market. This settles at 50 for the winner, 25 for the second-place horse and 10 for third place.
As a result, spread betting punters opting to place a buy bet on Amiwithani's pre-match spread of 28 - 31 made 29x their opening stakes!
