Daily Spread Betting Round-up

Monday & Tuesday's Big Winning Bets 05.07.23

There has been a range of sporting action for punters to enjoy at the start of the week with Wimbledon now underway, the U20 Rugby World Championship reaching the business end of the group stages and ODI Cricket World Cup Qualifiers.

As always, we have picked out three big winning spread bets from Monday and Tuesday’s action.

QUENTIN HALYS v DAN EVANS – SET 3 CROSS POINTS (SETTLED AT 1845)

To kick us off we head to the famous centre court of Wimbledon where world number 30 Dan Evans faced Quentin Halys in the first round.

The Englishman was looking to put his dismal form this season behind him at his home tournament of Wimbledon however, fell two sets down to the Frenchman early on before bad light suspended play.

The pair returned on Tuesday afternoon and Evans had much more purpose about his play and won the third set through a tiebreak. However, this wasn’t enough as he fell to a 3-1 defeat to the unseeded Halys to exit the tournament in the first round for the second year in a row.

Although much of the game was one-sided, the third set was very tightly contested with Evans winning it 7(7) to 6(5). This resulted in the Set 3 Cross points market making up at 1845 (41 x 45), meaning that punters who bought at the spread of 1095-1197 won 648x their stake!

SCOTLAND v ZIMBABWE – 1ST ZIMBABWE WICKET (SETTLED AT 0)

Next, we head to Bulawayo where Scotland went head-to-head with hosts Zimbabwe in a massive game in the ODI Cricket World Cup Qualifiers.

The two sides sat poised in 2nd and 3rd position in the table, with only the top two making it to the World Cup in October. Scotland were put into bat first and scored 234/8 off their over with Michael Leask top-scoring with 48 runs from just 38 deliveries.

The favourites before the start of the game, Zimbabwe, then entered the crease and got off to the worst of starts losing their opening batsman Joylord Gumbie with the very first ball of the innings. Despite the best efforts of Ryan Burl, who top-scored for the host with 83, Zimbabwe were bowled out for just 203 runs giving Scotland a vital victory.

With Zimbabwe losing their first wicket for 0 runs and a pre-match spread of 36-41 on Zimbabwe 1st Wicket offered, punters who decided to sell won 36x their stake!

NEW ZEALAND U20 v JAPAN U20 – MATCH MULTI-POINTS (SETTLED AT 1550)

Finally, we head to the U20 Rugby World Cup where New Zealand and Japan faced off with the All Blacks looking to bounce back from their defeat to France to progress from the group stages.

New Zealand were heavy favourites heading into this tie and showed why they have produced so many rugby greats over the years as they sailed into a 38-12 lead at half-time.

The All Blacks heaped even more misery on the Japanese in the second half as they scored another 24 points meaning the game ended in a 62-19 victory.

But where was the value for the punters?

With 50 points being scored in the first half and 31 being scored in the second the Match Multi-Points market made up at a massive 1550. With a pre-match spread of 1095-1197 offered, punters who decided to buy won 353x their stake!

Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
