Monday & Tuesday had a range of sporting action with Australia Women facing Papua New Guinea Women in the Rugby League World Cup semi-finals before Nadal faced off with Auger-Aliassame in the Turin ATP Finals and Derby faced Torquay in an FA Cup replay.

To kick off the weeks sporting action Australia faced Papua New Guinea in the Rugby League World Cup semi-finals with both sides looking to book themselves into Saturday’s final against New Zealand.

Australia were the big favourites heading into the match and showed why in the first half as they sailed into a 40-0 lead, scoring eight tries.

The favourites continued to flex their muscles in the second half going over for another 42 points without reply giving them an 82-0 victory booking their spot in Saturday’s final.

But where was the value for the punters?

NADAL V AUGER-ALIASSIME – AUGER-ALIASSIME 2-0 (SETTLED AT 100)

 Rafael Nadal faced Felix Auger-Aliassime on Tuesday afternoon both looking for their first win of the Turin ATP finals.

The first set was tightly contested with the first six games ending a tie at three games apiece before Auger-Aliassime took control of the set winning three games on the bounce to take the first set 6-3.

The Canadian continued his dominance into the second set sailing into an early 3-1 lead which was too much for Nadal to fight back from as Auger-Aliassime took the second set 6-4 and the match 2-0 inflicting a third straight defeat for Nadal.

But where was the value for the punters?

With Auger-Aliassime winning 2-0 the market made up at 100. With a pre-match spread of 16.60-25 offered, punters who decided to buy won 75x their stake!

 

DERBY V TORQUAY – TGM X CORNERS (SETTLED AT 3216)

In the final action of Monday & Tuesday Derby hosted non-league in a FA Cup replay with both sides looking to book a spot into the 2nd round of the FA Cup.

Derby showed why they were placed three leagues higher than Torquay as they sailed into a 2-0 lead after just 15 minutes through a Mark Ellis own goal and a smart finish from William Osula. Just before half time, Liam Thompson added a third to send the Rams into a 3-0 lead at half time.

Just after the break, Lewis Dobbin’s thunderbolt from the edge of the box fired into Torquay’s top corner before David McGoldrick added a final goal in the 78th minute to round off the victory with a 5-0 win.

But where was the value for the punters?

With there being 16 corners and 201 Total Goal Minutes, the market made up at 3216 (16 x 201 = 3216). With a pre-match spread of 1850-2025 offered, punters who decided to buy won 1191x their stake!
