Daily Spread Betting Round-up
Monday and Tuesday saw a range of different sports taking place with Saracens hosting London Irish on Monday night while on Tuesday Namibia faced The Netherlands in the T20 World Cup first stage and Brighton faced bottom-of-the-table Nottingham Forest in the evening’s football.
Please remember that unlike fixed odds betting, when spread betting losses can exceed deposits.
SARACENS V LONDON IRISH – KICKING METRES (SETTLED AT 0)
Saracens v London Irish kicked off the week's sport on Monday night with the hosts rock bottom of Group 3 while the visitors knew that a win would take them top.
The visitors started much quicker and went over for two converted tries within the first 12 minutes. They then went on to score another four tries in the half leaving them with a 38-7 lead at halftime.
The second half was very much a different game with Saracens mounting a fightback scoring three tries to London Irish’s one with the game finishing 26-43.
But where was the value for the punters?
Although there were plenty of points on offer, neither side made any ground through kicking with Kicking Metres making up at 0. With a pre-match spread of 224-238 offered, punters who decided to sell won 224x their stake!
NAMIBIA V NETHERLANDS – LAUNCH! (SETTLED AT 774)
The early hours of Tuesday morning saw Namibia play The Netherlands in the first stage of the T20 World Cup with both sides looking to build on their opening day wins with the goal of progressing to the next stage of the tournament.
Namibia were put into bat first in tricky conditions with the Netherlands bowlers getting plenty of movement off the pitch early on which saw the Namibians at one point go 10 overs without reaching the boundary rope. Jan Frylinck top-scored for Namibia with 43 runs as they limped to a very chaseable total of 121-6.
The Netherlands started off their innings aggressively, with their openers putting on 59 runs for the opening wicket putting them in a dominant position. They then looked to be cruising at 91-1 however, over the course of three overs Namibia picked up four wickets as they sensed a dramatic comeback.
Unfortunately for Namibia, this was all too late as The Netherlands edged over the line with just three balls remaining leaving them top of Group A.
With the highest amount of runs coming from Frylinck for Namibia with 43 runs and the most expensive over going for 18, the Launch market made up at just 774 (43 x 18 = 774). With a pre-match spread of 1300-1400 offered, punters who decided to sell won 526x their stake!
BRIGHTON V NOTTINGHAM FOREST - GOALS X CORNERS X BOOKINGS (SETTLED AT 0)
Tuesday night saw high-flying Brighton host bottom-of-the-table Nottingham Forest with both sides looking for wins for different reasons.
Brighton dominated the early stages, however, could not make their pressure pay as Dean Henderson performed heroics in the Forest net to keep the Seagulls at bay with the sides going into half-time goalless.
The second half saw much more of the same as Forest sat deep with the home side ultimately unable to break them down resulting in the match ending goalless gifting Forest a valuable away point. This means that in Brighton’s last three matches they have failed to score while recording a staggering 54 shots at goal!
With the game ending 0-0 the Goals x Corners x Bookings market made up at 0 (0 x 10 x 40 = 0). With a pre-match spread of 1225-1375 offered, punters who decided to sell won a massive 1225x their stake!
