Daily Spread Betting Round-up

Monday & Tuesday's Big Winning Bet's

On Monday and Tuesday, there was a feast of international sporting action with England getting a historical victory against Pakistan, Morocco causing a massive upset against Spain and Portugal giving Switzerland a footballing lesson in the World Cup!

As always, we have picked out three big winning spread bets from all the action.

Please remember that unlike fixed odds betting, when spread betting losses can exceed deposits.

PAKISTAN V ENGLAND 1ST TEST – ENGLAND TO WIN THE MATCH (SETTLED AT 100)

First of all, we head to the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium as England travelled to Pakistan for a test match for the first time in over 17 years.

On a flat pitch, England opened the batting and hit a massive 657 runs with Harry Brook top scoring with an exceptional 153 off just 116 balls! Pakistan replied strongly with three of the top four batsmen scoring over a ton leaving them with a score of 579.

At the end of day 3, it looked all but certain the game would end in a draw with the bowlers getting little to no movement off the pitch meaning a spread of just 1.4 – 5.9 was offered on England to win the match.

But Ben Stokes had other ideas as his England side scored a quick-fire 264 before declaring as they looked to force a result. Pakistan looked like they were looking like likely victors before a few wickets from James Anderson and Ollie Robinson had England bowling at Pakistan’s tail end.

With limited time and two wickets left a spread of 47.6 – 52.4 on England to win the match was offered to punters but just five minutes later Jack Leach trapped Naseem Shah LBW and won the match for England with the market settling at 100.

At the end of day 3 punters who decided to buy on England to win the match won 94.1x their stake and punters who even left it with just five minutes to spare also won a massive 47.6x their stake!

MOROCCO V SPAIN – GOALS X CORNERS X BOOKINGS (SETTLED AT 0)

Next, we head to Qatar as Morocco faced Spain in a round of 16 fixture with both sides looking to book a spot in the quarter-finals.

The first half saw Spain dominate the ball with 69% possession however Morocco had the best chances with West Ham’s Nayef Aguerd sending a header just wide of the Spanish goal.

The second half saw a lot of the same with Spain unable to break down the resolute Moroccan defence sending the game into extra time and then penalties.

In the shootout Sevilla keeper Bono was the hero as he saved two Spain penalties with the other cannoning off his right-hand post to hand Morocco a historic victory as they become the first North African side to reach the Quarter Finals of the World Cup.

With there being zero goals in the game the Goals x Corner x Bookings market settled at just 0 (0 x 20 x 8 = 0), meaning punters who sold a pre-match spread of 880 – 890 won 880x their stake!

PORTUGAL V SWITZERLAND – GONCALO RAMOS SUPER MEGA MINUTES (SETTLED AT 313)

Finally, we head to the Lusail Iconic Stadium in Qatar as Portugal faced Switzerland with the winner booking a quarter-final tie with Morocco.

The big shock came an hour before kick-off as Cristiano Ronaldo was replaced by Benfica forward Goncalo Ramos in the starting line-up, but the youngster earnt his starting place in the first half as his 17th-minute goals followed by a Pepe header in the 33rd minute sailed the Portuguese into a 2-0 lead at half time.

The action didn’t end there as Portugal added another four goals in the second half to Switzerland’s one with Ramos getting another two meaning he is the first player to score a hat-trick this tournament as Portugal made light work of a usually stubborn Swiss defence.

With Ramos scoring a hat-trick his Super Mega Minutes made up at a massive 320 (33 + 102 + 110 = 320). With a pre-match spread of 21 – 26 offered, punters who decided to buy won 294x their stake

Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
