Daily Spread Betting Round-up

Monday's Big Winning Bets 04.10.2022

After a weekend full of exciting action, a new week began with the promise of much more ahead, but Monday was a focus on primarily football across Europe with several Monday night fixtures, including Leicester finally getting their first win of the season against the struggling Nottingham Forest, as well as matches from Serie A and La Liga.

Amongst the other sport, there was also late-night action in the NFL as the LA Rams travelled to San Francisco.

As always, we have looked at the market make-ups and picked out three big winning spread bets from savvy punters.

Please remember that unlike fixed odds betting, when spread betting losses can exceed deposits.

LEICESTER V NOTTINGHAM FOREST – GOALS X CORNERS X BOOKINGS (SETTLED AT 2880)

The international break probably came at a good time, in hindsight, for Leicester and beleaguered manager Brendan Rodgers, who would surely have been fearing from his job. However, the first match after the break being fellow strugglers Nottingham Forest probably would have been the ideal scenario, and so it proved as the Foxes dominated the match and secured a morale-boosting 4-0 victory.

Goals from James Maddison, Harvey Barnes and Patson Daka were enough for the home side, and the manner of the win (and additional clean sheet) will have Leicester fans newly optimistic for what lies ahead, while big-spending Forest will need to arrest their recently poor run of form to avoid being dragged into a real relegation battle.

But where was the key profit opportunity in this match? The Goals x Corners x Bookings market was a good place to start, with four goals, twelve total corners and six bookings meaning a make-up of 2880. For punters who decided to buy at the pre-match spread of 1125 – 1275, this meant a huge 1605x return on opening wager!

RAYO VALLECANO V ELCHE – CORNERS X BOOKINGS (SETTLED AT 1440)

In this La Liga match-up between mid-table Rayo and rock-bottom Elche, the result was almost a foregone conclusion considering the visitors had lost all but one of their league fixtures so far (and that one being a draw), and so it proved as albeit a battling performance, they fell to another defeat 2-1.

It actually looked promising after they had taken a 1-0 lead in the first half, but their work was undone in heart-breaking fashion as they conceded a late second goal in the five additional minutes at the end of the match.

But where was the spread betting profit to be made? As the match featured a huge total of sixteen corners, as well as a sizeable nine total bookings, the Corners x Bookings market settled at 1440. For buyers at the pre-match spread of 545 – 585, this meant an 855x return on their stake. Muy bueno!

SAN FRANCISCO V LA RAMS – TOTAL TOUCHDOWN MINUTES (SETTLED AT 95)

And finally, in the NFL action, San Francisco managed to defeat the reigning Super Bowl champions as Deebo Samuel caught six passes for 115 yards, including a 57-yard score, and Talanoa Hufanga returned an interception 52 yards for a touchdown to secure a 24-9 win in the Monday Night Football fixture.

In terms of profitable markets, the Total TD Mins market settled at only 95, meaning punters who sold at the pre-match spread of 150 – 170 would have bagged a 55x return on their stake.

Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
