Daily Spread Betting Round-up

Thursday's Big Winning Bets 07.10.2022

Thursday nights mean action in the Europa League and Conference League, with plenty of British interest across the respective competitions. Hearts were well beaten by Fiorentina but there were away wins for English duo West Ham and Manchester United.

In tennis, Dan Evans blew six match points before exiting the Japan Open and as you are about to find out there was a major shock in international women’s cricket.

Please remember that unlike fixed odds betting, when spread betting losses can exceed deposits.

HEARTS v FIORENTINA – FIORENTINA LEADING MINUTES (SETTLED AT 86)

Hearts have had a rough start to their Conference League campaign and having been well beaten at home by Istanbul on the opening matchday, they succumbed once again in front of their own fans last night.

Fiorentina were strong favourites for this one and although there are mitigating factors for the Edinburgh side, not least their injury issues at the back, they will have been disappointed with how this one panned out.

The hosts conceded in the fourth minute when Rolando Mandragora nodded home and they never really looked like getting back into the game as they went into the break 2-0 down. A red card for Lewis Neilson after 48 minutes extinguished any hope of a Jam Tarts comeback with a 79th minute Luka Jovic strike sealing a comfortable 3-0 win for Fiorentina.

We mentioned before that Fiorentina were favourites and the spread on the minutes they led for was 39-42, but with an unchallenged lead from the 4th minute, this spread settled at 86 as buyers won 44x their stake.

PAKISTAN WOMEN v THAILAND WOMEN – PAK/THA MATCH SUPREMACY (SETTLED AT -40)

There was a seismic shock yesterday morning in the Asia Cup as Pakistan lost to Thailand in the women’s cricket competition.

Four places separated the two sides in the World Rankings, but Thailand had never beaten Pakistan before yesterday and they were priced accordingly with the South-East Asian minnows available at 25/1 to secure a famous victory.

Pakistan opened the batting and the Match Supremacy market was priced at 50-56 as the openers got to work. They perhaps would have wanted to score at a quicker rate than they did, but in setting Thailand a target of 116, the Match Supremacy market was still well in their favour as the Thais came out to bat.

However, an impressive batting performance saw the Thais surpass Pakistan’s total with one delivery to spare as they secured a famous four wicket victory.

In the Match Supremacy market, each wicket won by is 10 points and as the market was in Pakistan’s favour initially, this spread settled at -40. Sellers would have been dancing with delight as they landed a win of 90x their stake.

THURLES 16:55 – THREE COMETS 50-30-20-10 (SETTLED AT 50)

The flat season may be winding down, but there is still time for some shocks and there were none bigger than Three Comets’ win at Thurles yesterday. Having been niggled along towards the rear from halfway in this 2 mile handicap, Nathan Crosse’s mount stayed on well to head Majestic Jewel 100 yards from home to win by a short head.

Having been sent off at 2-4 on the 50-30-20-10 market buyers were in clover as they won 46x their initial stake. Interestingly enough, a buy on any of the top four would have yielded a positive return on your stake. Majestic Jewel picked up 30 points for second against a spread of 5-7 whilst Global Export’s 20 points gave buyers a 5x win on a spread of 12-15.

Coming home in fourth was Derrinlaur who was priced at 7-9 as buyers landed a win of 1x their stake after Jessica Harrington’s filly collected ten points.

Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
