What has happened to top of the Championship Fulham?

Stuttering Fulham have now gone 5 games without a win after a 1-0 home defeat against Sheffield United at Craven Cottage. Iliman Ndiaye scored the only goal of the game as the Blades moved up to 11th in the table after their 4th straight victory, the 3rd since Paul Heckingbottom took over as manager. Aleksandar Mitrovic hit the woodwork in injury time but the Cottagers couldn’t grab a point, meaning after four successive draws, they lost for the first time since the start of October.

Fulham Total Goal Minutes (settled at 0)

Fulham have hit a real sticky patch in their quest for promotion, and came into this game on the nack of four straight draws during which they’d only scored three goals. That trend continued against Sheffield United as Fulham went down 1-0, and sellers of Fulham TGM’s, predicting the current malaise would continue, made some decent money. The Fulham TGM’s spread was at 95-105, so sellers make the maximum profit of 95 times their bet.

How did Raymond van Barneveld’s return to the World Darts go?

Five-time champion Raymond van Barneveld made a triumphant return to the World Darts Championship with a near faultless 3-0 win against Lourence Ilagan. Barney, who retired after losing in the 1st Round in 2019, regained his tour card in February and stormed back to Ally Pally last night to show there’s life in the old dog yet, dropping just two legs and post the 4th highest average of the tournament so far of just under 97. He goes through to play another former champ Rob Cross, in round 2.

Highest Checkout RVB/Ilagan (settled at 71)

Despite his time away from the big time, Barney was hot favourite to despatch his Filipino opponent, and well fancied by punters. One of the spreads that punters made money on was the Dutchman’s dominance in the highest checkout market. The spread was set at 16-21, meaning Barney’s best checkout was fancied to be 16-21 points better than Ilagan’s. While Barney managed a 121 finish, Ilagan only won two legs, his best finish being just 50, meaning buyers won 50 times their stake.
