Daily Spread Betting Round-up
Tuesday night followed on from the sporting feast we saw on Monday with Millwall snatching a last-minute point away at Swansea, Manchester Originals thrashing Welsh Fire in The Hundred and Emma Raducanu causing a shock first round exit for twenty-three time major titles winner Serena Williams in the Western and Southern Open.
However, who were the big winners and what markets brought punters the most joy?
We review Tuesday’s action and highlight where canny punters could have struck gold on our spread betting markets.
Please remember that unlike fixed odds betting, when spread betting losses can exceed deposits.
Swansea v Millwall – Millwall Total Goal Minutes (Settled at 180)
It was a disappointing night for Swansea who threw away three valuable points in additional time with Millwall continuing their fine start to the season with an invaluable point with the away side ending the night in fourth position just two points of top spot!
Swansea started the match in electric fashion scoring in the opening minute of the match before Obafemi doubled their lead in the 12th minute! The fast start was followed by 88 minutes of goalless action with the game looking dead and buried before two calamitous 90th minute own goals from Cabango and Wood gifted Millwall, who only managed one shot on goal, an invaluable point.
With a pre-match spread of 50-58, punters who decided to buy were saved from despair as two last-gasp own goals meant they ended the night celebrating a victorious profit of 122x their stake!
Manchester Originals v Welsh Fire – Launch! (Settled at 722)
Last night The Hundred fast-flowing action continued as Jos Butler captained Manchester Originals to a comprehensive 47-run win over Welsh Fire to earn the Original’s their first win of the tournament whilst the Fire were left winless and rock bottom of the table! But where were the big wins for the punters?
The highest total from any batsman on the night was relatively low compared to recent nights including two tons from Jacks and Smeed, as Phil Salt scored a fast-paced 38 off just 22 balls with a strike rate of 172.73! Salt and Butler also combined to score the most runs of a single over with 19 runs being smashed of Payne’s bowling to set the Originals of to a fast start!
Salt’s 38 and Payne’s expensive over of 19 were multiplied against each other to make up the Launch! market at 722. With a spread of 1250-1350 being offered ahead of the match those who decided to sell won 528x their stake!
Serena Williams v Emma Raducanu – Set 2: Cross Points (Settled at 250)
The sporting action continued late into the night with English starlet Emma Raducanu causing a fist round upset knocking out tennis great Serena Williams in The Western and Southern Open in straight sets!
The first set was closely contested with Raducanu edging it 6-4 to give the 19-year-old a one set lead over the 40-year-old veteran, showing shades of the level which saw her earn her maiden grand slam title last year.
The second set saw Raducanu coming into her own winning 6-0 with a dominant display over Williams with the American barely winning a point which saw Set 2 Cross Points make up at just 250 points!
With a pre-match spread of 948-1023 being offered punters who decided to sell were celebrating long into the night as they won 698x their stake!
Please note that these are recent examples of winning bets, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
