Ahead of another weekend of top-class sport, as always in our daily betting blog we run through the big spread betting winners from Wednesday and Thursday in our midweek roundup. From the European football action on show, Next Gen ATP tennis and UK Championship snooker, there was plenty to get stuck into for sports spread betting fans.

Here we run through some of those big winning spread bets!

Please remember Spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit. They may not be suitable for everyone so please ensure you fully understand the risks involved.

GALATASARAY V MANCHESTER UNITED – GOALS X CORNERS X BOOKINGS (SETTLED AT 2,880)

We start with the football betting action in focus and it was another disappointing evening for Manchester United in the Champions League as they let a two-goal lead slip to end up drawing 3-3 with Galatasaray in Istanbul - a result that means it is highly unlikely that the Red Devils will progress into the knockout stages.

Despite a strong start, Erik ten Hag's side once again showed their defensive frailties this season and the spotlight was once again on struggling goalkeeper Andre Onana who again made costly mistakes in Europe to leave his side in peril.

In terms of football spread bettors, placing a buy bet on the Goals x Corners x Bookings multi-market proved a shrewd choice. With the starting spread at 1,750 - 1,900, the six match goals, eight corners and six bookings meant a make-up of 2,880 and a big winning buy bet of 980x their stake!

NEXT GEN FINALS: VAN ASSCHE V MICHELSEN TOTAL POINTS (SETTLED AT 201)

Next we move to the tennis action with the 'NEXT-GEN' ATP Finals taking place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia with some of the best upcoming youngsters in the sport. The exhibition tournament won't be providing any ranking points but with prestige and prize-money on offer, the action so far has been exciting and highly-contested.

With an initial round-robin group format being played to decide the semi-finalists, the final round of matches on Thursday saw all players in with a chance of qualifying. Frenchman Luca van Assche took on the USA's Alex Michelsen knowing that a win by any score would likely qualify him, while Michelsen knew only a three or four set win would give him a chance of qualification after losing his opening two matches.

In a fast-paced but grinding match-up of aggressive hitting and counter-punching, Michelsen overcame the loss of the opening set to win the next two on tie-breakers and looked strong before a collapse in the fourth set which meant he no longer had a chance to qualify.

Van Assche still had to complete the job though and faltered himself in the fifth set as Michelsen broke back late to force a deciding tie-breaker. The Frenchman ultimately came out victorious, but again showed his battling qualities after the 2hrs 41 mins on court - by far the longest match of the day.

Spread betting punters who placed a buy bet on the Total Points spread at 137 - 142 saw a make-up of 201 and a return of 59x their stake.

O'SULLIVAN V MILKINS - HIGHEST MATCH BREAK (SETTLED AT 142)

Finally, we finish with some of the snooker action this week as Ronnie O'Sullivan secured a hard-fought 6-5 victory over Robert Milkins, in what came down to a deciding frame shootout. Ultimately, it was the legendary O'Sullivan who again secured victory - and he predictably showed his break-building class once again during the match.

Although it was a scrappy affair overall with O'Sullivan far from happy with his performance or seemingly the sport in general, a 142 break was a reminder of the natural talent he always possesses. For snooker betting punters, this also meant a big winning bet for those deciding to buy on the Highest Match Break spread.

With the pre-match spread being 112.5 - 115.5, the make-up of 142 meant a 26.5x return on punters' opening stake.

Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
