Daily Spread Betting Round-up
Another week of sport is gradually drawing to a close, but there is plenty to look forward to over the weekend, including the Wimbledon final.
Before that though, we highlight some of the key big winning midweek spread bets from Wednesday and Thursday!
Please remember Spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit. They may not be suitable for everyone so please ensure you fully understand the risks involved.
JABEUR V SABALENKA – TOTAL POINTS (SETTLED AT 214)
In the Wimbledon women’s draw, Tunisia’s Ons Jabeur took on Aryna Sabalenka in the semi-finals, aiming to reach back-to-back Wimbledon finals. While she dropped a close opening set on a tie-break, Jabeur levelled an evenly-contested match with a late break of serve in set two to claim it 6-4.
She then stayed ahead for the remainder of the match and grabbed the crucial break of serve from 3-2 up to finish the set and the match with a score of 6-7 6-4 6-3 and secure another chance to win the famous trophy when she takes on Czech Marketa Vondrousova, who beat Elina Svitolina earlier in the day in straight sets.
For buying punters on the Total Points market here, a buy at the opening spread of 155 – 160 meant a 54x return on their initial stake.
USA V PANAMA – TOTAL GOAL MINUTES (SETTLED AT 0)
In the football action, savvy punters once again found value in a match involving the USA as the Americans took on Panama in the Gold Cup semi-finals. Similarly to their previous match with Canada, goals were hard to come by until the very late stages.
However, while in that match there were two goals at the very end of regulation time, the goalmouth action in this one was pushed even later as both sides found the net during the extra time period. As such, any goal-related bets would have only taken into account the regulation 90- minute period.
While the USA could not replicate their penalty shootout heroics against Canada and ended up falling to the Panamanians, selling punters on the Total Goal Minutes market managed a return of 121x their opening wager from a starting spread of 121 – 131.
JOCKEY MARKETS – WILLIAM BUICK – NEWMARKET (SETTLED AT 70)
And finally, we take a look at the racing action, where a buy on jockey William Buick at the Newmarket July Festival secured significant profit for punters. Buick recently became the first British jockey to secure fifty victories in 2023, and that good form may have been a key consideration for bettors here.
With the opening spread on Buick in our jockey markets standing at 49 – 52, a settlement of 70 meant an 18x return on stake!
Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
