URUGUAY V BRAZIL - TOTAL GOAL MINUTE SUPREMACY URU/BRA (SETTLED AT 119)

We start in the limited football betting action of the last few days after the final EURO qualifying fixtures as eyes turned to South America where World Cup qualifying is in full swing - and there was a massive shock as Brazil suffered their first qualifying defeat since way back in 2015!

It proved to be a nightmare evening for the Brazilians as a whole with not only the defeat, but star man Neymar looked to have suffered a serious knee injury which may rule him out for an extended period of time.

Ultimately it was goals from Liverpool's Darwin Núñez and Nicolás de la Cruz that sealed the win, and punters backing the home side were celebrating significant profit at the end of the match.

For spread betting punters wagering on the Total Goal Minute Supremacy (Uru/Bra) market, a make-up of 119 from a negative starting pre-match spread of -40 - -26 meant a tidy return of 145x buying bettors’ initial stake!

FRITZ V MOCHIZUKI – MOCHIZUKI 2-1 CORRECT SCORE (SETTLED AT 100)

In the midweek tennis action, there was a massive shock as American top-10 player Taylor Fritz fell to an incredible comeback from the Japanese home hope Shintaro Mochizuki in Tokyo at the Japan Open.

What made it so incredible and unlikely was the fact that Fritz started in superb fashion to utterly dominate his young opponent to win the first set with a 6-0 'bagel'. Mochizuki was not to be deterred though and levelled the match by winning the second set 6-4.

However, Fritz seemed to be destined for victory when he was 5-2 up in the third set before Mochizuki staged an incredible comeback to take the match to a deciding set tie-break, where he raised his level even higher to secure a memorable win.

For tennis spread betting punters, backing Mochizuki on almost any market proved to be a profitable decision, but backing a 2-1 Mochizuki correct sets score for the match meant a big return. With a pre-match spread of 0.7 - 8.4 and dropping as low as 0 - 3 during the match, buyers were left with a win of up to 97x their opening stake.

INDIA V BANGLADESH - VIRAT KOHLI RUNS (SETTLED AT 103)

And finally, we end with the 2023 Cricket World Cup action where cricket spread betting punters made good profit buying on the hosts India's latest win.

India have so far been showing why they are favoured to win the competition on home soil and produced another dominant victory by beating Bangladesh on Thursday. India made light work of the chase as openers Shubman Gill (53) and skipper Rohit Sharma (48) began in imperious fashion with a stand of 88 for the first wicket.

However, the day's glory belonged in large part to Virat Kohli who made his first hundred of the tournament. With a pre-match spread of 53 - 58 on the Kohli Runs market, the make-up of 103 meant a profit return of 45x bettors' opening stake.
