WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

whn-1

There has been plenty of sporting action this week with a pivotal clash at the top of the Premier League, alongside the Europa League and Europa Conference League knockout rounds getting underway.

England and New Zealand began the first Test of their series, the 2023 Super League season kicked off in Warrington and there was another night of Premier League darts, with Michael Smith claiming the win in Glasgow.

Amidst all of that, we have picked out three big winning spread bets from the major events over the last few days.

Please remember that unlike fixed odds betting, when spread betting losses can exceed deposits.

WARRINGTON WOLVES v LEEDS RHINOS – WAR/LEE SUPREMACY (SETTLED AT 32)

The 2023 Super League season kicked off last night in Cheshire as Warrington Wolves welcomed Leeds Rhinos to the Halliwell Jones Stadium, with the hosts 4-7 favourites on our Match Supremacy spread.

Leeds were missing Nene MacDonald and Harry Newman and an unfamiliar three quarter line coupled with a miserable display from full back Richie Myler left Rhinos under the pump from pretty much the first whistle.

They trailed 30-0 at the break thanks to tries from Matt Dufty, Daryl Clark, Josh Thewlis, Danny Walker and Sam Kasiano. Leeds did get on the scoresheet with Derrell Olpherts and Justin Sangare scoring debut tries, but Warrington also added to converted tries in the second half to run out comfortable 42-10 winners. Could this finally be their year?

Wire fans and buyers on the Supremacy would have thoroughly enjoyed last night’s match with the latter picking up a win equal to 32x their stake.

ENGLAND v NEW ZEALAND – 1st NEW ZEALAND WICKET (SETTLED AT 10)

With England declaring on 325-9, the gauntlet was thrown down to the Black Caps’ batsmen. The best chance of getting any movement from the pink ball is under the lights and England fancied their chances of picking up a few wickets in the evening at the picturesque Bay Oval.

With Tom Latham and Devon Conway opening for the hosts, the New Zealand 1st Wicket spread was set at 45-50 (England had lost their first wicket for 18 runs earlier in the day). As in England’s innings, this spread went the way of sellers as the opening duo could only add ten runs before Ollies Robinson and Pope combined to dismiss Latham.

With the spread making up at ten, sellers won 35x their stake.

BARCELONA v MANCHESTER UNITED – 46-60 TOTAL GOALS (SETTLED AT 3)

One of our in-play spreads paid dividends for buyers last night as Barcelona and Manchester United played out a thrilling draw at the Nou Camp in the Europa League. With the tie 0-0 at half time, the spread on total goals between minutes 46-60 was 0.41-0.49.

Marcos Alonso opened the scoring with a back post header for the hosts after 50 minutes, before Marcus Rashford equalised just two minutes later. Manchester United would take the lead on 59 minutes with Rashford seeing his low cross turned into the Barca net by French defender Jules Kounde.

With three goals scored in the 15-minute period, there was certainly no buyer’s remorse as they won 2.51x their initial stake.

Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
