PHILADELPHIA UNION v NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION - TOTAL GOAL MINUTES (SETTLED AT 299)

We start with the football betting action from the MLS as Philadelphia Union grabbed a rare victory with a 5-1 domination over fellow strugglers and basement side New England Revolution, in which the 14-year-old sensation Cavan Sullivan made a cameo appearance.

The match was essentially over as a contest within the first half, with the home side racing to a 3-0 lead at the break. Although the visitors grabbed a quick consolation, it seemed to matter little as the hosts added two more goals - including one just two minutes after conceding - to secure the dominant win.

In terms of big winning bets, football spread betting punters had joy buying on our Total Goal Minutes market. With the opening spread standing at 154 - 164, the final make-up at 299 meant a profit of 135x punters' opening buy stake!

RONNIE O'SULLIVAN v DING JUNHUI - R.O HIGHEST MATCH BREAK (SETTLED AT 131)

We move on to action from the Shanghai Masters snooker and there was a massive match for the home crowd as local hero Ding Junhui took on the legendary Ronnie O'Sullivan in the quarter-finals. However, the Chinese fans were disappointed as 'The Rocket' raced to a fourth consecutive victory over Ding.

Defending champion O'Sullivan, 48, recorded five breaks of more than 50, including one of 131 in frame seven, on route to a relatively routine 6-3 win.

For spread betting punters, a big win was to be had for those opting to place a buy bet on the O'Sullivan Highest Match Break market. Starting with a spread of 108 - 111, a make-up of 131 meant a 20x return on buy stakes!

ALEXANDER ZVEREV v HUGO GASTON - TOTAL POINTS (SETTLED AT 198)

And finally, the tennis action from the ATP 500 tournament on the clay in Hamburg as home favourite Alexander Zverev took on the tricky but unfancied Frenchman Hugo Gaston in which he was favoured to sweep his opponent aside without any trouble, but that wasn't quite how things turned out.

The mercurial Gaston produced an inspired display and threatened an upset at times after grabbing the opening set, but Zverev managed to prevail in a 2hr 38mins slog to thrill the home crowd, 4-6 6-2 7-5.

For punters who envisiged a long match and placed a buy bet on the Total Points market at an opening spread of 127 - 132, a settlement of 198 yielded an ace return of 66x for successful buy trades.
