UZBEKISTAN (OLY) v SPAIN (OLY) - MULTI-BOOKINGS (SETTLED AT 1,500)

We start with the football betting action from the Olympics tournament as Spain will be looking to follow up their success at Euro 2024 with another tournament success here, and they duly began their campaign with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Uzbekistan.

The Spaniards had taken the lead before being pegged back on the stroke of half-time and some concerns were surely present when they missed a penalty to reclaim the lead. However, that disappointment was put behind them just minutes later as the net did finally bulge and the result was ultimately decided.

In terms of big winning bets, football spread betting punters had joy buying on our Multi-Bookings market after eight yellow cards (five for Spain, three for Uzbekistan) were issued by the referee. With the opening spread standing at 315 - 395, the final make-up at 1,500 meant a massive profit of 1,105x punters' opening buy stake!

THE HUNDRED: MANCHESTER ORIGINALS v WELSH FIRE - LAUNCH! (SETTLED AT 429)

We move on to the cricket action from The Hundred on Thursday as Welsh Fire claimed victory in their matchup with the Manchester Originals, who struggled badly in the absence of Jos Buttler.

The Originals ultimately fell to the third-lowest men's score in The Hundred and an eight-wicket defeat at Emirates Old Trafford. Buttler is awaiting the results of a scan on his calf and while he has not been ruled out of the tournament as of yet, he did miss out here and his side slumped to 4-3 and 37-7 before posting a lowly 86-8.

For spread betting punters, a big win was to be had for those opting to place a sell bet on the Launch! market. Starting with a spread of 1,100 - 1,200, a make-up of just 429 meant a 671x return on sell stakes!

SEBASTIAN BAEZ v HUGO GASTON - TOTAL POINTS (SETTLED AT 276)

And finally, the tennis action from the ATP tournament on the clay in Kitzbuhel, Austria as a mercurial match-up between Argentina's Sebastian Baez and Frenchman Hugo Gaston resulted in a marathon 3hr 10min encounter in which Gaston saved match points on his way to a final set tie-break win.

With all three sets featuring at least 12 games, Baez and Gaston shared 7-5 scorelines in the opening two stanzas before a third set featuring no breaks of serve was won in dramatic fashion by Gaston winning four consecutive points in the tie-break.

For punters who envisaged a long match and placed a buy bet on the Total Points market at an opening spread of 145 - 150, a big settlement of 276 yielded an ace return of 126x for successful buy trades.
