Daily Spread Betting Round-up
WHAT HAPPENED NEXT?
Wednesday and Thursday saw a whole host of sport with action coming from League 1 as Cheltenham hosted promotion-chasing Sheffield Wednesday, Bangladesh faced Ireland in an international T20 and in the darts Jonny Clayton won night nine of the Premier League.
As always, we have picked out three big winning spread bets from Wednesday and Thursday’s action!
Please remember that unlike fixed odds betting, when spread betting losses can exceed deposits.
BANGLADESH V IRELAND – BANGLADESH MULTI OVERS 4 X 5 (SETTLED AT 323)
In the early hours of Wednesday morning, Bangladesh hosted Ireland in the second of their three-game international T20 series looking to add to their impressive form with a win securing a series win over the visitors.
With the game delayed due to rain, the game was reduced to a 17-over game which allowed each side to take extra risks when batting which saw Bangladesh set Ireland a remarkable 202 runs with Litton Das top scoring with 83.
With the added pressure of chasing such a high score Ireland struggled to get going and scored just 125 runs off their 17 overs giving Bangladesh a 77-run victory. This means excluding an abandoned match Bangladesh have won their last eight games including a series whitewash over England!
But where was the value for the punters?
With Bangladesh getting off to a flying start, Bangladesh multi overs 4 x 5 made up at a whopping 323 (17 x 19). With a pre-match spread of 108-120 offered, punters who decided to buy won a massive 223x their initial stake!
CHELTENHAM V SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY – TOTAL GOAL MINUTES (SETTLED AT 294)
On Wednesday night promotion-chasing Sheffield Wednesday looked to end the run of two straight defeats as they travelled to struggling Cheltenham.
The first half saw little to no action with neither side able to open the scoring. In the second the game came to life as Cheltenham raced into a 2-0 lead scoring in the 62nd and 69th minutes. Wednesday then fought back to bring the game level just three minutes before full-time through goals from Lewis Gregory and Aden Flint.
With all four goals coming relatively late on in the game Total Goal Minutes made up at a massive 294. With a pre-match spread of 113-123 offered, punters who decided to buy won 171x their initial stake!
DARTS PREMIER LEAGUE – TOTAL CHECKOUT TON OR BUST (SETTLED AT 350)
On night nine of the Darts Premier League Jonny Clayton caused a shock as he won his first night of the season as he moved up to fifth in the league.
“The Ferret” did it the hard way beating table-topping Michael Van Gerwen and second-placed Gerwyn Price before beating PDC World Champion Michael Smith in the final to secure the night win in the Mercedes Benz Arena in Berlin.
Although there was a total of 69 legs across the night there were only three 100+ checkouts with two coming in the final. This meant that the Total Checkout Ton or Bust market made up at just 350 (100 + 120 + 130 = 350). With a pre-match spread of 1051-1101 offered, punters who decided to sell won a huge 701x their stake!
