Daily Spread Betting Round-up
The FA Cup took centre stage, but you had to look elsewhere for the major online betting shots with 16/1 pokes Motherwell overcoming Rangers at Ibrox one of the bigger stories this weekend.
As ever on a Monday, we review the weekend’s action to find out where the major spread betting stories were, as we bring you three big winning bets.
Please remember Spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit. They may not be suitable for everyone so please ensure you fully understand the risks involved.
England’s Champions Trophy campaign ended in yet another dismal defeat as they were cut down in Karachi by a ruthless South Africa side.
England batted first but could only muster a score of 179 all out with Joe Root top scoring with 37. In response, the Proteas didn’t have to get out of second gear as they cruised to a seven-wicket victory in Pakistan.
They achieved their target total inside 30 overs and Temba Bavuma’s side will move on to face New Zealand in Lahore on Wednesday.
It was another crushing disappointment for English cricket fans, but those who sided with South Africa in our Supremacy cricket spread betting market were at least rewarded. Before the match, this was predicted to be a tight affair with the spread set at -6 – 4. A seven wicket win left the spread to settle at 70 as buyers were rewarded with a win of 66x their stake.
History was made on Saturday evening as a Super League match was played in Las Vegas as Wigan Warriors took on Warrington Wolves at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium.
Two of England’s most forward thinking and innovative sides were part of the undercard for the NRL’s event and for the most part it was an entirely one-sided affair. A repeat of last year’s Challenge Cup final saw Wigan race out into a 42-0 lead with Bevan French and co putting on a glittering performance Stateside.
Before the match, Match Cross-Points was set at 247-274 and buyers desperately needed Warrington to get the scoreboard ticking if they were to come out in profit. Thankfully for them, Wigan took their foot off the gas and the Wire eventually gave their travelling army something to cheer.
The match eventually finished 48-24 which saw Cross-Points settle at 1152 as buyers won 878x their stake.
World number eight Emma Navarro became just the fifth woman this century to win a WTA final 6-0 6-0 as she defeated Emiliana Narango to clinch the Merida Open in Mexico.
It had been a scintillating few days for Navarro as she reached the final without dropping a set before swatting aside Narango to become the first person since Iga Swiatek in 2021 to record a ‘double bagel’ in a major final.
With the match lasting just 55 minutes, sellers on the Total Points spread were in clover. Before play began, the Total Points spread was 133-138, but with just 74 scored, sellers landed a win of 59x their stake.
Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
