Daily Spread Betting Round-up

Weekend's Big Winning Bets

Sports fans had plenty of sporting action to enjoy this weekend with a drama-filled second Ashes Test, Euro U21 quarterfinals and some massive matchups in the Super League.

As always, we have picked out three big winning spread bets from the past weekend.

Please remember Spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit. They may not be suitable for everyone so please ensure you fully understand the risks involved.

ENGLAND V AUSTRALIA – BEN STOKES 2ND INNINGS RUNS (SETTLED AT 155)

To kick us off we head to Lords where England and Australia played out one of the most controversial Ashes Tests in cricket history.

England headed into the final day needing a miracle, still needing 257 runs whilst being four wickets down after some loose batting on day four. England looked to be gaining a head of steam before Jonny Bairstow controversially lost his wicket after he left the crease deeming the ball to be dead only to be run out by Alex Carey.

This fired up the normally subdued Lords crowd and also sparked Ben Stokes into action with the England captain now knowing he will have to score quickly with a tail-ender occupying the other end of the crease. Stokes did just that as he scored a quickfire 155 with his innings having shades of that famous day at Headingley however, unfortunately it wasn’t enough as England fell short by 43 runs giving the Aussies a commanding 2-0 lead in the series.

Before the 2nd innings got underway punters were offered a spread of 30-35 on Ben Stokes runs. With the England captain scoring a massive 155, punters who decided to buy won 120x their stake.

FRANCE U21’S v UKRAINE U21’S – SHIRTS X BOOKINGS (SETTLED AT 3750)

Next, we head to the Cluj Arena where France and Ukraine went head-to-head in the Euro U21 quarterfinals. The French headed into this game with a perfect record in the group stage and carried this into the early stages of this tie as they entered a 1-0 lead through Lyon playmaker Rayan Chekri.

However, the young Ukraine side fought back and took the lead before halftime with Georgiy Sudakov scoring a brace before Artem Bondarenko rounded off the victory in the 86th minute.

Ahead of this tie punters were offered a spread of 1275-1425 on the Shirts x Bookings market. With Shirt Numbers making up at 75 and Bookings making up at 50, the market made up at a massive 3750, meaning punters who decided to buy won a huge 2325x their stake!

HULL FC V CATALAN DRAGONS – MATCH MULTI POINTS (SETTLED AT 240)

Finally, we head to the Super League where Hull FC faced the Catalan Dragons. The hosts were looking to close the gap on the playoffs whereas the Dragons were looking to extend their lead at the top of the table.

The match started at a ferocious pace with 40 points being scored in the first half with the away side taking a 22-18 lead into the break. The second half was much more subdued with just one try scored as the visitors took a 28-18 victory taking their win streak in the league up to seven games.

But where was the value for the punters?

With 40 points being scored in the first half but just six being scored in the second, the Match Multi Points market made up at just 240 (40 x 6 = 240). With a pre-match spread of 479-524 being offered, punters who decided to sell won 239x their stake.

Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
