CHELTENHAM TOWN v DERBY COUNTY1ST CHELTENHAM GOAL (SETTLED AT 39)

Ok, we will hold our hands up, this isn’t the biggest winning bet from the weekend, or even the biggest winning bet from Saturday but there has been little to cheer for Cheltenham fans this season so we will allow them this one.

Ten games into the season and without a single goal scored, Cheltenham were closing in on  an unwanted record until Derby County came to town at the weekend. Having seen their plenty of chances fluffed this season, Rob Street finally got their league campaign up and running when he slid in at the back post to open the scoring in the 39th minute.

With such a dismal record this season, our football betting traders had the spread on the 1st Cheltenham Goal minute at 63.5-66.5, with those who sold landing a win of 24.5x their stake.

FIJI v PORTUGALFIJI MULTI-POINTS (SETTLED AT 60)

Over to France now where Fiji were huge favourites on the Rugby World Cup betting for their clash with Portugal last night but the Iberian nation recorded a stunning win.

The Fijians have won plenty of hearts and minds over the years for their excellent play and whilst recent wins over England and Australia have been high water marks for the Pacific nation, this was an unwanted blemish on their record.

Going into the half-time break, both sides remained level at 3-3, but three Portuguese tries to the Fijian’s two tipped the balance in their favour in the second-half as Portugal ran out 24-23 winners.

For those who like rugby spread betting, the Multi-Points market is always an interesting one to play where a side’s first-half points are multiplied by their second half-tally. In this clash in Toulouse, the pre-match spread on Fiji Multi-Points was 422-464, but with the market settling at 60, those who placed a sell bet won 362x their stake.

SOUTH AFRICA v SRI LANKASIXES SQUARED (SETTLED AT 961)

Those who tuned into South Africa’s match with Sri Lanka saw a stunning display of power hitting as records tumbled at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Aiden Markram scored the quickest World Cup hundred in 49 deliveries, South Africa scored the most runs in a World Cup match when they finished on 428-5 and Sri Lanka helped add enough runs to make it a record combined total of 754 runs scored.

With so much action it was always likely to be a day for buyers on our cricket spread betting markets and those who bought Sixes Squared landed a big winning bet. The Proteas scored 14 in their innings and that total was added to by 17 Sri Lankan sixes (eight of those scored in a thrilling Kusal Mendis knock) which left the Sixes Squared spread to settle at 961.

With the spread before the game at 231-257, those who bought Sixes Squared landed a big winning bet as they collected a win of 704x their initial stake.

Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
