Daily Spread Betting Round-up
After another weekend of top class sports and a multitude of dramatic action, as always in our daily betting blog we run through the big spread betting winners from the weekend!
Some of the key action came from weekend football including an FA Cup classic for the ages as Man Utd secured a place in the semi-finals at the expense of great rivals Liverpool, Carlos Alcaraz defended his Indian Wells title in the tennis and there was rugby union drama as Ireland secured the Six Nations title.
Here we run through some of those big winning spread bets.
Please remember Spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit. They may not be suitable for everyone so please ensure you fully understand the risks involved.
We start with the football betting action and the FA Cup quarter-final action treated punters with an absolute classic from Old Trafford as Man Utd put paid to any hopes of a quadruple in the final season of Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp as they secured a dramatic 4-3 victory with a winning goal right at the death of extra-time.
The home side started the stronger and took the lead through Scott McTominay but the visitors hit back before half-time to lead 2-1 at the break after goals from Alexis Mac Allister and Mo Salah. It looked to be a disappointing end for the Red Devils but an unlikely goal from struggling Brazilian winger Antony near the end of regulation time forced the game into extra-time.
The drama was only beginning though, as Liverpool first took the lead through Harvey Elliott before Utd hit back once more with a goal from Marcus Rashford before a 120th minute winning goal from Amad Diallo, who was only subbed on in the 85th minute.
For football spread bettors who envisaged Diallo making his late starring impact, buying on the Diallo Extra Time Player Goal Mins market proved profitable. With the starting spread at just 3 - 6 pre-match, his goal in the 120th minute meant a make-up of 120 which resulted in a big winning buy bet of 114x their stake!

Next we move to the tennis action and it was a sense of deja-vu in 'Tennis Paradise' as Carlos Alcaraz defended his Indian Wells Masters title by once again defeating Daniil Medvedev in straight sets, just like he did 12 months ago on the very same court.
Although many thought that the semi-final mega-clash between Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner would prove to be the real final, Medvedev was still a substantial hurdle to clear for the young Spaniard and the early stages of the first set seemed to prove just that as Medvedev quickly ran to a 3-0 lead.
However, he was then pegged back as Alcaraz took the set to a tie-break which he duly clinched. That seemed to knock the contest as a competitive event as Alcaraz then breezed to a second set demolition with a score of 6-1. Spread betting punters who placed a buy bet on the Alcaraz 2-0 set betting market at an opening spread at 42 - 48 saw a make-up of 100 and a return of 52x their stake.

And finally, we finish with the rugby action as although Ireland clinched the Six Nations with an expected win over Scotland, the bigger drama took place in the match between England and France.
Fly-half Thomas Ramos kicked a dramatic 80th-minute penalty which ensured a 33-31 victory in Lyon and helped the French claim the second place in the standings, while England finished third.
The match saw five tries scored overall with the latest coming in the 74th minute from Tommy Freeman which seemed to be the clincher for England, but ultimately it was not to be after the late heartbreak.
In terms of spread betting, punters who decided to place a sell bet on the Total Try Minutes market saw a big profit made. With the starting spread at 243 - 261, a final make-up of 338 meant a return of 77x their opening stake!

Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
