Daily Spread Betting Round-up

Weekend's Big Winning Bets

There were plenty of decent online betting events for punters this weekend, even without the Premier League thanks to the international matches, some feature races and plenty of other action.

As ever in our Monday betting blog, we have crunched the numbers to find three big winning bets from the last few days.

Please remember Spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit. They may not be suitable for everyone so please ensure you fully understand the risks involved.

GERMANY UNDER-21 v KOSOVO UNDER-21 – TOTAL GOAL MINUTES (SETTLED AT 0)

Two wins in ten matches (the first of which was a 5-0 drubbing at the hands of England Under-21) was hardly a good sign for Kosovo Under-21 heading into a clash away to Germany, with the hosts as short as 1/20 to get the win.

In our football spread betting Total Goal Minutes market, the spread was 192-207 and with five players who have played at least 20 Bundesliga matches on the pitch, the Germans should have had too much quality and experience for their visitors.

Instead, despite boasting 79% possession and taking 24 shots, Kosovan keeper Mustafe Abdullahu held strong in Chemnitz to keep the score at 0-0. It may well have been a bad night for the hosts in Chemnitz, but those selling Total Goal Minutes were rewarded with a maximum win of 192x their stake.

WIGAN WARRIORS v SHEFFIELD EAGLES – WIGAN MULTI-POINTS (SETTLED AT 384)

A lot has changed since 1998 when Wigan were stunned by Sheffield in the Challenge Cup final and chances of the Eagles repeating the trick in a sixth-round clash at the DW Stadium on Friday night were around 40/1.

However, any brave backers of the Eagles were given a run for their money with the part time outfit keeping Wigan to 12-12 at the break before the Cherry and Whites found another level to run out eventual 44-18 winners.

In our rugby league spread betting markets, there would have been some pride in the Sheffield performance for those who sold Wigan Multi-Points. This market multiplies the first half Wigan points total by the number the hosts scored in the second half and before kick-off the spread was 798-855.

With the spread eventually settling at 384, there were full wallets for sellers on the market as they won 415x their stake.

LINCOLN HANDICAP – MR PROFESSOR 100-60-30-20-10-5 (SETTLED AT 100)

One of the hardest puzzles to solve in horse racing betting is the Lincoln Handicap and so it proved to be again on Saturday as the traditional curtain raiser to the flat season was won by Mr Professor for David Egan and Dominic Ffrench Davis.

Sent off at 33/1, the five-year-old was smuggled into the race by Egan and had enough in the tank to hold off a late challenge from Lattam in the final furlong. In races where there are plenty of runners, we offer an extended race index market and alongside our 50-30-20-10 market, there was the option to trade our 100-60-30-20-10-5 spread.

In this particular horse racing spread betting market, Mr Professor was available to trade at 6-8 as they went to post with buyers in clover as his victory landed them a win of 92x their stake. Lattam in 2nd earned 60 points on the spread as buyers won 48x their stake whilst Navagio buyers were rewarded with a win of 19x their stake for a valiant third place finish.

Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
