Daily Spread Betting Round-up
Another weekend of dramatic sporting action saw plenty of thrills as Man City lost their fifth consecutive match in a shock drubbing at home against Spurs, Jannik Sinner ended his stellar season by helping Italy defend the Davis Cup in the tennis, Max Verstappen confirmed his fourth F1 title at the Las Vegas GP and much more, and as always in our daily betting blog we run through the big spread betting winners from the weekend!
Please remember Spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit. They may not be suitable for everyone so please ensure you fully understand the risks involved.
MAN CITY v SPURS - TOTAL GOAL MINUTES SUPREMACY M.C/TOT (SETTLED AT -175)
We start with the football action and the return of the Premier League action after the latest international break saw a massive result in the title race as Man City's nightmare form continued as they were battered 4-0 at home by Spurs, which also marked the end of a 35-match unbeaten home run for Pep Guardiola's men.
A double from James Maddison along with goals from Pedro Porro and Brennan Johnson saw Ange Postecoglou's side come away with a famous win at the Etihad, breathing life into their top four hopes while dealing a hammer blow to City. The defending champions are now eight points behind Liverpool and it will take a massive effort now for an unlikely defence of their title this season.
In terms of spread betting, massive profit was available from a range of markets. One such market was the Total Goal Minutes Supremacy market, which brought profit to savvy sellers. With the market starting in Man City's favour and at a starting spread of 49 - 63, a negative final make-up of -175 saw sellers win 126x their opening stake!

MATTEO BERRETTINI v BOTIC VAN DE ZANDSCHULP: TOTAL POINTS (SETTLED AT 106)
In the tennis betting action, although man-of-the-moment Jannik Sinner may have taken the bulk of the plaudits and attention, Italy's Davis Cup defence was in large part down to the achievements of Matteo Berrettini. The former world number six has had a torrid time with injuries over recent times but has come back with a bang this season with three ATP titles and nearing the top 30 again, and the big serving Roman did more than his fair share in his nominated rubbers here.
After an impressive comeback win against Australia's Thanasi Kokkinakis the day before, Berrettini more or less won the tie in the final against the Netherlands as he powered through to a comfortable straight-sets win over Botic van de Zandschulp, who had of course dealt defeat to Rafael Nadal in his final career match earlier in the week. With Berrettini's win, it left the foregone conclusion of Sinner winning in his rubber with Tallon Griekspoor to avoid a doubles decider and secure the crown for Italy.
For tennis spread bettors who expected Berrettini to dominate, deciding to place a sell bet on our Total Points market proved to be a profitable choice. Sellers returned an Ace 45x return on their initial wager from a pre-match spread of 151 - 156 after a settlement of just 106.

LAS VEGAS GP: PODIUM CAR NUMBERS (SETTLED AT 162)
Finally, we round off on the F1 action from Las Vegas as Max Verstappen finally confirmed himself as a four-time World Champion and officially end Lando Norris' faint hopes of a title charge, while George Russell secured a dominant win from pole and Lewis Hamilton showed some more old magic as he blitzed from tenth to a second-place position, while undoubtedly rueing the qualifying mistakes which may well have cost him a comfortable victory in Sin City.
A generally enjoyable race saw moments of action but the win was somewhat of a foregone conclusion with Mercedes seemingly far ahead of the competition, which allowed Britain's Russell to control the pace out front as the action behind him saw Ferrari holding off the McLaren's as well as Verstappen, who did what he needed to do to outscore Norris and confirm his title. Hamilton, meanwhile, produced a Driver of the Day performance as he secured the 1-2 for the Mercs.
For F1 punters who backed a podium of Russell (63), Hamilton (44) and Ferrari's Carlos Sainz (55), the Podium Car Numbers market brought good potential profit. With a pre-race spread of 105 - 108, a settlement of 162 meant a return of 56x on buy bets!
