Daily Spread Betting Round-up
There was elite sporting action everywhere you looked at the weekend with the Australian Open finals, NFC and AFC championship games in the NFL, Premier League football, some high-class horse racing and plenty more.
As ever on a Monday we have sifted through the results to bring you three canny trades were our spread bettors got the better of our trading team.
Please remember Spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit. They may not be suitable for everyone so please ensure you fully understand the risks involved.
Manchester United earned a scrappy 1-0 one the road at Fulham last night in what was a tough match for football spread betting punters to find profit.
One profitable angle was on corner-related spreads with matches involving Manchester United seeing an average of 9.00 corners per match (Premier League average is 10.59).
Last night was another occasion where the corner count was low and that was good news for those who had placed a sell bet on Corners Squared market at 114-125. With Fulham managing just three and the Red Devils failing to register a single one, the spread settled at 9 as sellers won 109x their stake.
This morning saw Hobart Hurricanes secure their first ever Big bash title and they did so in style as they chased down Sydney Thunder’s total of 182-7 inside 15 overs.
Local lad Mitchell Owen was the Hurricanes hero as a whirlwind score of 108 runs from 42 balls, which included a record-equalling quickest century in the league’s history, took the Tasmanians to the title.
The 23-year-old’s superb score was great news for those who had bought Hobart Hurricanes Joy Of Six. The Joy Of Six spread betting market sees three players selected and each player earns 25 points for every six they score. Hobart’s selected players were Owen, Ben McDermott and Aussie slogger Tim David.
With Owen scoring 11 maximums and McDermott unable to add to the tally (David didn’t even need to get padded up), the spread settled at 275. With the pre-match spread at 99-107, this left buyers collecting a win of 168x their stake.
Philadelphia Eagles reached the Super Bowl for the second time in three years after a crushing victory over Washington Commanders last night.
The Commanders were partly to blame for their own downfall with fumbles proving costly, but in all truth, they were no match for the hosts who ran out 55-23 winners having scored 27 points in the first half and 28 in the second.
A huge points total for the hosts last night was good news for those who had bought Philadelphia Multi-Points at 165-195 prior to kick-off. With the spread settling at 756 (27 multiplied by 28), buyers landed a big win of 561x their stake.
Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
